I think I'm going to pull out of this and not do my track time.

Anyone want to buy it from me. Track time was 11:20 in the intermediate group.
(Silverstone suggested I sell the space)
£45 was the cost.

PM me.

IMPORTANT UPDATE

We're excited to announce that to start our support for Mission Motorsport, the team will be joining us at Silverstone this Sunday to raise funds towards their ongoing efforts. We're suggesting a non-compulsory donation of £2 per person upon entry.

Weather permitting, the team will be providing passenger rides at £15 each in one of their specially adapted Jaguar F-Types and will also be collecting at various points around the event. You can sign on as a passenger for free at race control, and will need to pay your donation and collect a passenger ride ticket at the PH merchandise stall. Dig deep and show your support to what's truly an amazing charity, and one that shares our own passion for all things automotive.

As for the weather and the event itself, we're in talks with Silverstone and will keep you all posted in due course.

Got a track day thing at Donny on Saturday, they just called to tell me it's been cancelled frown

Hoping the snow does one, as I need at least one car fix this weekend! driving

Forecast at the moment is above freezing with showers. Should be fine.

I did a trackday at Goodwood a few years back, funnily enough with Mission Motorsport, and had to de-ice my windscreen after the drivers briefing. That was a cold and slippery morning!

The current local forecast for Towcester is snow and temperatures ranging between -1 and +2. Add the famous Silverstone chill factor, and that's going feel like -12!

Not looking all that promising... frown

I'm 10 minutes down the road, it's snowing, a fair bit. More forecast tomorrow, something like 15-20cm in total over the 2 days. Might clear off on Saturday though...

If it goes ahead, it's going to be chilly!

We will send the final decision out tomorrow to everyone that has signed up, and Silverstone will be doing the same to those that have booked track time.

We're in mother natures hands!

MET office weekend weather report for Silverstone "Slowly feeling less cold, with winds moderating and showers starting to become less snowy, especially into Monday, with lying snow and ice likely to start melting. Overnight frost still expected."

I’m less than 10mins south of Silverstone and there’s no more than a centimetre here. I drove down the A43 from Northampton earlier and past Silverstone and it was much the same

I'm in Brackley, and there's a few cm's 2/3 at most, tomorrows supposed to be more though. Not been near main roads so no idea what they've like but imagine they'd be fine by Sunday.

Will refunds for track time be issued if cancelled? Or some sort of voucher towards a future event?

Hoping it goes ahead but asking just in case.

Quick one for Jack:

If we are fully intending on coming, but weather stops us and we realise this Sunday morning- are we still penalised in the same way as those who pull out last minute?

I’m 100% eager (been waiting since the last SS service!) but the recent weather sustaining until Sunday can stop me RWD v8 on summer tyres if it’s still bad Sunday morning frown

I’d hate to have to pull out 2-3 days before the event due to a weather scare, then realise I could have gone Saturday evening when it’s all cleared up.

At this rate there won't even be a reserves list so it shouldn't matter so much!

It’s looking bleak but I enjoy these events too much to miss out on if I can go!

Don’t get to use my car much this time of year so was really looking forward to it- but if it’s even a hint of snow it’s really not worth the risk frown
