MMR at Bruntingthorpe Sunday Service 29/04

Back at Bruntingthorpe for a PH Sunday Service, but we have some new hosts...

Our third installment of the Sunday Service calendar see's us heading to a new and exciting venue, at Bruntingthorpe no less! MMR Performance will be launching their new premises on 29th April and we'll be there too, supporting what is going to be a very exciting new business.

Going forward, MMR Performance will be providing a specialist performance tuning service for BMW and VW Group vehicles. They operate from their premises at Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground, which means MMR Performance has the unique advantage of access to a testing facility for vehicles, allowing them to develop and test the products in different disciplines and for the team to road test your vehicle in the safest of environments. So who better to get the first look at a fantastic new tuning company than you lovely lot?!

MMR Performance staff will be on hand to answer any questions you may have, and if you'd like a tour of the shiny new workshop, Max Marshall and James Oliver will be around to give you a sneak peak after the event has finished. We have space for 250 cars for the event, with scope to bring a maximum of three passengers per member signed up.

There will also be a bit of a mini competition on the day where MMR will be, very kindly, giving away five Meguiars/MMR Performance car cleaning goodie bags to the five favourite cars of the day! So make sure your pride and joy is nice and clean - you may win a prize to make it even cleaner!

Food and drinks will of course be on site to keep us all happy, no one wants a hangry Sunday Service.

Sign yourself up to the calendar here to get your first look at this exciting new tuning company.

That's when you are angry because you are hungry.

Is there any arrangement to use the runway or taxi way on the day? Would be great to have that as an option!

Fingers crossed it isn't p155ing down then...

I'm surprised at the uptake on this one - I would have expected all 250 spaces to have gone very quickly?

Unless I'm better by Saturday I'm afraid I will be unable to attend. I've got a heavy cold and a 500 mile round trip just doesn't appeal feeling like this. Sorry.

ETA - Unfortunately I am really quite unwell so figured better to remove myself now and afford someone else the opportunity. frown

Hi Alex.
I was looking forward to seeing you there.
I left early because I was freezing cold. Decided I’d rather go home and watch BTCC instead.
(PHer Dan Cammish has just got his first podium.)

Thank you PH and MMR for putting on this morning. A little cold and drizzley but still a decent turnout in the car park.

Only pic that I managed to take

Bloody hell, it looks miserable up there! I stayed home as am not well and basking in sunshine and blue skies. Hopefully there will be some more pics though?

Pics? OK.

This is my Z4 and a few other coupes.

This is the XJ220 which was used as the press car, including an appearance in Lara Croft.

The Noble M600 is a rare sight.

The 4C really does look better with proper headlights.

The i-Pace may not be very PH, but it’s the first one I’ve seen.

Sunday Service events do seem to attract a mid-engined Clio or two.

The obligatory Italian supercar

I still made it, but passengered in Lankylegohead’s E92 M3. It was cold and miserable but still a good event and a real mix of cars. Thanks PH. Tomorrow’s job find a new tyre for the RS3

Wouldn't he put the heating on?

Sorry

Thanks for all the pictures chaps. Gutted I didn't get to see the M600. There's just something about them that brings me feel like a kid and I'm sure I would have probably asked to sit in it or something and embarrassed myself. All in, looks like a decent turnout despite rubbish weather.

Thanks Pistonheads and MMR Performance for putting the Sunday Service on. Really enjoyed it despite the weather. Some great cars in attendance, which made it even more surprising for my car to win on of the detailing kits.
