Kind of you to say! I think for several laps the black e46 was leading myself then you? Was a good start to the session keeping good pace with each other. beer

I thought the standard of driving in our session was pretty good and I was genuinely surprised I kept up with some of the more powerful machines as well as I did. Had to really be careful with under-steer through luffield and becketts. But considering sport contact 5s down to 3mm all round and a totally OEM brake setup, the car handled the conditions and duration really well.

Maybe all those laps on Forza paid off..
biggrin

The group of people we seemed to be in/mix with most often (as things opened up and then closed in again as we lapped the "green thing") all seemed to have their heads screwed on to me! Nothing like what I saw when spectating some of the other sessions which is good.

I'll definitely do more than one session at the next one!

I gave him enough room to make the apex at Brooklands but he had clearly seen me and moved over. Looks worse from your perspective I must admit.

Nice mini drag race there too!
Agreed, the angle was in your favour. Didn't see the indicator until it came on after the left hander.

The C2S is a quick machine. You drive it well too.

Can’t believe your in car camera spun around just when you were behind me after 20min mark lol doh!
I know, I'm really annoyed. It is because my super expensive headrest mount and my cheapo extension bar don't quite marry up properly, so the thread came loose. I need to get a better one for next time out - it is fine on the road where the G-forces are much lower.

Good day out, despite being quite cold early on.

Caught some action from the pit wall at 10.58 so if you are on this session chances are you will see yourself here:
https://youtu.be/lbSMSgO0r-k

I was on the 11.55am session which i'm pleased dried out enough to have some fun. If anyone has footage of my e90 m3 please share.

Another great event by the PH team and proceeds for a great cause (Mission Motorsport), thanks to all who arrange and helped with the day.

Taking into account grumbles about track etiquette, it was still a brilliant day out, braving the cold for some track action and to check out the eclectic range in the car park. From little to large, sporty to daily, banger to P&J, it's the PH culture to have an amazing mix around for everyone to see.

Great pics thanks for sharing. Guilty as charged in the Civic wobble caught out on cold tyres. Got the hang of it in the end on a greasy track.

Top day out. Yes it was cold, yes the Aston was a rolling road block, but the main thing is everyone had a good time and went home in one piece.

Mr Aston Martin "Racing",

If you have been put off of track days at Silverstone, I know where I will be going for the rest of my life!

Even watching from the pit wall and listening to the collective groans as lap after lap passes by and the same Aston Martin is holding up most of the field was irritating enough let alone being on track.

I appreciate that you may lose a sense of pride being overtaken by Clios, MX5s, Pumas, Meganes and all other cars on track, but I have to say that was the worst display of track day etiquette I have ever seen. To defend these actions and complain about Silverstone itself is also laughable.

Yes, people should not be bombing up the inside of people mid-corner and it is a 'taster' session but a track day is to have fun and push your car in an environment that is a safe and controlled facility.

Ironically, the most unsafe display of driving all day was yourself.

Sunday Services have been lacking a little this year so was pleased to make this one.

Bubbled over a little late as just set off a bit later than hoped! Takes just over an hour to Bubble down.

The Bub slipped a little on the road with the greasy surface so not surprised to hear the track was a little twitchy! Well done!

Thanks to all attending, Silverstone for hosting and PH for organising smile

stock bubble pic as didn't take many snaps this time

The perfect three car garage perhaps. Merc for daily driving, Aston to pick up chicks at the weekend and Caterham to thrash round a track.
