Hi all
First time camper at LM and booking Eurotunnel for this year. Wondering what crossing the majority of people go for? Think im looking at an 8.20 departure. Whats the general consensus? Would like to travel down with other LeMans traffic but also get to the campsite in decent time.

Thoughts?

Sounds about right, the support classes will be on track all day but the big boys aren't on until 7 so you'll have plenty of time to get set up before getting trackside. (I'd still say go at least a day earlier if possible though)

Tuesday or Wednesday would be a bit more relaxed and less rushed.

0800 seems to be the mark where the prices step up a little. I usually book the 0750 or 0720.

Yes, we typically get a Thursday crossing between 7:30/8:30. Allows plenty of time to get site (with break en route), get a beer, put tent up and go watch practice. Will be no problem.

So much depends on how you plan to get there.

The autoroute is obviously the quickest, but costly and boring. The N roads make the getting there part of the experience, but you'll need to add a couple of hours on.

Thursday is the day to go. You can see qualifying into the night and then go to the Great British Welcome on Friday. again, an essential part of the experience.

Should have mentioned that currently we're booked for a Thursday departure.
Does anyone have a rough route using the N roads they could share, would be nice to make it a bit more scenic
Thanks
