Ditched the stupid "doesn't quite get to the front of the car" bonnet adopted by the previous generation!





Why they did the stupid Merc led idea of having a short bonnet and then a slam panel above the grill i'll never know! Looked awkward because it's impossible to hide the panel gap between bonnet and panel, makes the bonnet look short and stunted, and ruins the "eyes under lids" effect that BMW bonnets and lights have managed so well for many years. So, thank F*** the new ones back to having a proper bonnet and no stupid slam panel....... !!


(what other styling "tweeks" annoy you??? (and no, you can't include "the entire Toyota C-HR" ;-) )

Shame it appears they've fitted a massive single piece of plastic where the kidney grilles normally go, like some scaled-up version of a cheap die-cast model.

Bangle gets a bad press but I actually think the E60 is still a really fresh looking car in M-Sport trim.

The new G20 3 series, whilst it is nicer in person than in photos, I just can’t get used to the grille. It looks a bit like Mr Potato Head’s moustache. As has been said though, it’s nowhere near as bad as the LCI 7 series. They’ve completely ruined what I consider the best looking 7 series ever made (pre-LCI G11) and made it easily the worst.

Not sure what BMW are thinking lately style wise. I’ve an F30, but won’t be going for a G20. Maybe an F10 or original G11 next time.

Can you get the MSport without the black pack/shadow line/whatever it’s called, perhaps the 3er grill is more a colour thing. No forgiveness for the 7er though.
