Other than the 'moderns' I think I can also spot an F40, Testarossa and 512BB...
I'll take the Ford. And don't wrap it, I'll wear it.

At the same time outside.

Please don't let them lose the grille shape. Pretty please.

There's so much history in how it became the shape it's supposed to be.

Green one nono

Silver one smile
The zagato grill shape also has history, as seen in the DB AR1 etc..
Yeah, but, no, but...

The Aston's own radiator grille shape goes back to 1915. And I don't mean quarter past seven.

Ooh. Centenary soon.

I would say that the first "Aston Grill" was on the DB MKIII in 1957.

The "Zagato" grill is directly derived from the DBR2 (DBR1 at a push) which would put it at 1956!!

So the Zagato grill has a greater Aston history than the "Aston" grill.

However the greatest grill of them all is the king of grills, the George Foreman "lean mean grilling machine".

Zagato grill has an EARLIER history (just) but the Aston grill has a wider history wink
Either way I prefer the AM on

Nope. You can trace it all the way to the earliest Astons.

Intense preparation for the 1922 French Grand Prix - the Bamford & Martin era 1915 to mid 20s

The DB4GT

And that, Ladies and Gentlemen, is how the Aston Martin radiator grille is how it is and more particularly how the flutes at either side came about. The shape can be traced back to the earliest days of the company. Long may it remain.
You can see the evolution of the grill from your post, but comparing the early grills to the current ones shows they are very different.

Where as the Zagato grill is instantly recognizable regardless of which era you are looking at.

Too much Aston.
Only reason the green one origonally posted has a oval shaped gaping grille is because it is a Zagato, not your run of the mill everyday Aston. smile

The vehicle details for M1 XJX are:

Date of Liability 01 06 2012
Date of First Registration 01 04 1995
Year of Manufacture 1995
Cylinder Capacity (cc) 3239cc
CO2 Emissions Not Available
Fuel Type PETROL
Export Marker N
Vehicle Status SORN Not Due
Vehicle Colour GREEN

Certainly looks modified but I've never actually seen a modified one that is a 3.2, I can only remember tuned ones with later V8's.

It is indeed, we had this discussion in the previous spotted thread. It's a Ferrari 456 GT Venice; The Sultan of Brunei ordered 6 (I think) and he only bought 5. He doesn't own all of them any more.
