I wonder where TVR would be now if it had put LS small block V8s in from the start instead of its own striaght six?
It may be a moot point now, but as far as I'm aware, reliability issues to that point were mainly niggly type stuff, rather than major?
All the serious complaints I've heard stem from the speed six engine.

So basically Dom at TVR Power has persuaded Nicolai Smolenski to endorse his business, and Dom has finally given up on simply boring out the S6 and is now going to simply dump chevvy engines in old TVRs?

And this is "TVR back in business"??

If you wake up from a coma and move to Austria, the possibility exists that you may move back to England in the future.

If you die, you're dead. A 'new' you with the same name isn't you.

I prefer the former option for TVR while it appears some prefer the latter possibility.

Why would you want some Russian tosser using Austrian labour to restore a car for you when their are so many loyal specialists, ex franchised dealers and ex factory lads in the UK who can do it to a more original standard and cheaper??

plus someone needs to tell the trotski that TVR's are actually simple enough to restore yourself at a fraction of the cost.

Lets not rise to anymore of the numpty's false claims and just carry on enjoying all of our existing Pre-Smellenski TVR's into the future..

Many many people enjoy all makes of Classic car whos factories aren't around anymore...TVR is now just a very desirable classic car in my book..And all the better for it.

TVR a very British and Blackpool built car!!

I'm not sure you're allowed to sign for yourself, even if you're a health professional.

I think it takes two independent doctors and a close relative or suitably qualified mental health worker, or something like that.

Oh well, if it's written on their website then it *must* be true. It's not like they have a history of announcing total fantasy or anything. wink

The new ones are going to use fairy dust for powder-coating the chassis and outriggers too.

You know what's a crying shame, apart from TVR being in limbo, is that they're not building new cars in Blighty. Why? Well, going from the comments on here each time TVR is brought up, each one of us is ready to put down a deposit on a brand new TVR. Smolenski has missed out on millions of pounds worth of orders.

As I said, such a crying shame.

this is just the latest episode in Smolenski stripping every last scrap of credibility from the TVR name

and to think that years ago he was heralded by some as the wealthy astute businessman that was going to take TVR to another level.

sorry days really.

Each time you need to change gear but don't, a Stalin lookalike butts you on the bag of the head with a klashnikov.

Everyone seems to be talking as though the speed 6 engine killed TVR but I disagree. Yes the production engines were flawed but people still bought Cerbera speed 6's to Sagaris's they never stopped buying them. It was Nicolai Smolenski that killed/is killing TVR
