When you think about it, even Goodyear is an odd sounding name.

Imagine they had just been released in the UK now, I am sure we would be seeing comments like "Good for a year?...at least they weren't called Good day, hah!"

I test drove a Honda S2000 from a main Honda dealer, went OK, but was twitchier than expected. Saleschimp said "but it has had new tyres already", it had, they were called 'Triangle'. I walked...
Triangle Talons, possibly? "Talon" suggests grip............Triangle Talons don't - much in the dry, at all in the wet. Wheelspin at 70mph in 4th? eekeek
I got my clio 172 with brand new Triangle Talons, they were crap, understeer in the dry was bad but in the wet was concerning, certainly helped me smooth out my driving technique!

Being cheap I hung onto them until I had to change them because of one developing an alarming bulge in the sidewall. Full set of Toyo PX4's for £170 and I can drive it like I stole it, the difference is incredible and for not much in price difference.

With the way things are headed, Goodyear, Dunlop, etc will be funny sounding tire names in a few years.
