This looks exceptionally clean and a bargain at 2k.

Agree. If those wheels are not corroded, being in the original polished finish is a very good sign of being looked after.

I am tempted to change mine for a minter (with black cow), but it would have to be a DHP one.
My mate's Dad has one of these in green. He had the wheels re-furbed a few years ago [they still look brand new] here - http://www.lap-tab.co.uk/

Yep, Mk4
What years are the different Mks btw? And is there a giveaway regarding whether it is specced with the DHP? What difference does it make to the ride - is it similar to SE/Sport with BMW?

Mk3 is 94-97 iirc, squarer (halogen) headlamps, no nav, non Vvti engine, 4sp. Garlick's is a 3, with the DHP wheels

Mk4 is 97-00. DHP pack is the 17" 7-hole alloys with visible bolts and suspension lowered about an inch iirc. It was a UK dealer only upgrade giving a slightly firmer (10% ish) ride. Looks better on all colours with the possible exception of my (light, greyish) Jade Pearl.

DHP wheels, which are the giveaway (although some non-DHP cars will have had the wheels fitted alone, which would be a good compromise I think)
Correct sized Pirelli tyres are pretty pricy though, as Garlick found out!

If you're thinking about a 330 at all, the Old Colonel has a great looking one in. If I didn't have a car, let alone a 330 I'd be over there now.

So I wasn't the only one watching James Bond last night? I wonder if BMW sold it with the electric body work so those people who key cars get a little 'shock'... hehe

They aren't P6000s wink Other and cheaper brands are available, just not in exactly correct size. G elected to replace rears with Pirellis to retain 4x matching all round iirc.

If it's a clean as the advert suggests, I've no doubt you'll be coming home with it too!

I want that. I so so very badly want that. If you dont buy it I may buy it just to stop a dealer buying it and slapping a 5k premium on it or some stupid pie lover buying and barrying it. Looks an immaculate car with a great price.

I have no need for a 740 but that ad made me think about giving the chap a call. I have no doubt that CD will be coming home with it. As for the Colonel's 535, that engine never appealed much - I'd prefer a 5/740. Anyway I want his 330 instead.
