So it takes the good points of the GTR and makes them worse and adds nothing in return? If it looked like a standard Juke and was road legal I could see the entertainment factor, but surely this is just a racer that's deliberately handicapped itself.
It is totally road legal, all the Juke lights, horns and other gubbins are still on it, along with the electrickery from the GT R. wink

Isnt there a 'hot' Juke coming out shortly?
I think there's a limited edition already out - just black bits, nothing extra in terms of performance, except it's the 1.6 190bhp 4wd version.

I bought the 1.6 190 last year, same footprint as my Elise, great fun. Had a 60mph head-on last month, (everyone fine), and should be picking up the new one in a few weeks. I've been runing around in an X6, and I'll be glad to get back to the Juke...

They are on about a nismo edition coming out this year. Dont know what that means in terms of engine tweaks (if any) but it could mean a warmish/hottish version on the way

Ahh; I'm sure there will be a warmed up/Mk2 version at some stage.

Looks like they're trying to punt it to some rich arabs as some of those photo's have Dubai in the background.

They really ought to produce it in limited numbers, I'm sure someone would be daft enough to buy it. biggrin
Yes, and my other car is a VW GOLF GTI Ed 35 wink

But I love the idea. Really wacky. I look forward to seeing it in the flesh at Goodwood FOS if it's not going to ever be produced.

It's heavy, has a bizarre front end, a massive bodykit and a ridiculous rear spoiler, more power than is necessary, and they sliced up a GT-R in the process of making it?

I want it. Seriously. Hats off to Nissan for creating something so mental and fantastic at a time where diesel boring-mobiles are the norm. Awesome work.

Interesting to note that the spoiler and bodykit are actually functional. The rear spoilers in particular make a huge difference to the handling apparently.

http://www.fensport.co.uk/FensportCars/Corolla_GT4...

please see the above link, it makes the Juke R look like, well a joke, what else can i say?

The Fensport Corolla would eat it for brekkie! 200MPH in a 5 door hatch! You cant argue with that.. and without a fast and furious bodykit!!!

Fairly forgettable looking though.

Couldn't say that about the Juke.

Whether that's a good thing in either case is a moot point, though.

I love that they made it and it looks awesome, but how the hell is it 150kg heavier, especially when they saved about 30kg by going to bucket seats from the heavy stock electric ones....

I think they should make it... I mean, it isn't any more ridiculous than a BMW X6-M

Wouldn't imagine so, there's something like 1000 hrs fabrication in each shell alone. Not to mention the cost of buying a GTR running gear. I spoke to one of the guys from RML and he wouldn't even take a stab at how much they've cost to produce!
