I saw Ian McShane (of Lovejoy fame) in the back of a Bentley on Regent Street a few years back, smoking a mahoosive cigar...

Sasa Papac (footballer) in a Renault Megane Scenic in Glasgow a few years ago. Always thought it was an urban legend that he drove one - but it was true !

Just had Sharron Davies stood in front of me in the Co-op que buying a load of crap. She then hopped in a 5 series GT with all London 2012 stuff plastered all over the doors.

Must say she was looking pretty good for 50.

My grandparents once saw him in a big white Merc around the time he was doing Lovejoy.

I've never seen anyone famous in a car apart from the Queen in her RR when she came to our town to flash her cash around.

I think anyone outside of London will be hard pressed to see a celeb in a nice car. Footballers don't count.
I live in the North West and indeed the only famous person I can recall seeing in a car is the Queen in a Range Rover - when she visited a neighbouring town.

saw Jonathan King at the lights on Park Lane once, in a RR Phantom (the real old school one, a V or VI)
Saw him turning into Soho from Regent St in the Roller on my way to work once. He gave me a wave, as I was about to see him again about 10 minutes later as engineer of his Talk Radio UK morning show. bd could've given me a lift...

Clarkson in his Green MB 600 Grosser going the other way to me in Whitehall, gave me a 'honk' and wave as I was in my old 60's S-class.

A few years in Barcelona outside the Nou Camp watching the players come in. Ronaldinho in a Hummer, Maxi Lopez in a Porsche 911 GT3, Xavi in 612. And the best one. Barca captain/legend, Hero amongst the Catalans, one of the best paid players in the world at the time Carlos Puyol pulled up at the ground. In a batterd Renault Kangoo with (translated back into English) 'Puyol Window Cleaning'

In the 70's - HM the Queen. Briefly. We waited out on the main road all day for her to be driven past on her way between Silver Jubilee events, but in the end she was behind time, and sped past with barely time for her trademark wave. I was 7, and very angry that my entire day had been wasted.

In the 80's - Bonnie Tyler in a white VW Golf convertible (?Clipper?).

In the 00's - Rowan Atkinson alongside me in slow moving traffic on the M25 - first time I'd seen a McLaren F1 on public roads.

Late 90s - Geoff Capes driving down the A1 in an old Rover or Montego or something. Cannot remember the exact car but he was so big it looked like he was sat behind the B Pillar, must have had the seat rails adjusted.

Early 00s - Jim Davidson driving a RR full of dodgy looking geezers down the Strand. Rather unsurprisingly he looked like a tt from his mannerisms.

Mike Reed RIP in a green Rolls near Beer (Dorset?).

Hugh Laurie in Fleet services, sorry not in his car. God, that bloke's about nine feet tall!

I remember driving down the M6 southbound from J19 (A56 to Manchester) on a Saturday afternoon a few years back, and being passed by two cars that appeared to be in convoy, the first had a registration with 'KK' in it, the second 'SG', and I forget the first car but the second was a white Range Rover with terrible bodykit. I assumed Kevin Keegan and Steven Gerrard, though I know nothing about football and they were just convenient initials. I don't even know if there would have any reason for either of them to be in the area.
