Two icons, great vid.

Reminds me of my mate and me at uni, wasting hours racing those two; me in the quattro, him in the RS200.

Sadly only on the (mahoosive) Scalextric set in our flat.... hehe

Harris really should do a long review on the r32 GT-R(perhaps a lightly modified one at that) a car which decimated touring car competition the world over.

The Patrick Collection Delta S4 was a red road going car & it was never painted in Martini colours during our ownership because the boss insisted on originality.

It was still red when sold by Bonhams & always was red as far as i know.

I visited that a loong time back and, apropos of this thread, I remember they also had a red Audi quattor sport (SWB) too.

We had what was, at the time, the best collection of Group B cars anywhere in the world as we owned at least one of every Group B car that was ever produced including the truly awful, ugly, Citroen BX 4TC.

The Sport Quattro was my personal favourite & i was lucky enough to drive it many times.

If I won the lottery, a yacht, a mansion, a classic Ferrari or whatever other things people buy when they'd won the lottery wouldn't even appear on the radar ahead of this beauty.

Easily my favourite car of all time.

Short Sport please.

I utterly love them. Had a go in one once and..... well I didn't know the Mrs would be so upset when I tried to sell her..!!

Love the video, wish I could have been there to watch, thanks.
anyone seen the RS200 in the classifieds at £6 less than £200,000, I know they are as rare as rocking horse s**t but at that price I would want Stig Blomquist as my Personal chauffeur!

Loved watching Harris repeatedly stalling the RS200.

Makes me feel less bad about stalling eight times in a row the one and only time I drove one. laugh

Is it just me or is the sound very quiet on that video?
its not just you. every Harris vid I have watched always has the volume too low even with my PCs settings on max.

anyways..........love the red bound tiller. always liked the shape and even today i think that basicshape with some new fangled headlights would be a real seller. Pity Ford dont look at an all new type of low slung sports car like the RS200 but to modern standards, no rattling trim or clonking mechanicals etc.

That steering looks god damn heavy.....no assistance I presume.

I am with Chris - I too always associated the 200 with the cossie 2 litre lump - i didnt know it was a BDT 1.8

and interesting to learn about the engine sending drive forwards for the gearbox to then send some of it back to the rear wheels! it doesnt sound very logical at first but it works.

of the two i prefer the RS even if that doesnt have the groundbreaking kudos of the Audi. I hate the Audi shape which is now very dated - whereas its quite the opposite with the RS.

Great video (as usual - but Chris, turn the sound up man!)

I think everybody did because they had 'Paddle' Clutches which don't slip too well as they are either engaged or not. Mine certainly did, and it was a bleeding nightmare at traffic lights especially when you had a fireblade behind you and wanted to prove a point !!
