Certainly looks better than the old M6. It's just a shame that the V10 had to go (that noise ).
It will depreciate like a bd though. I'd probably go for the M5 if it was my money, and have near identical performance and a more practical car for a chunk less money.
They made the mistake with pricing on the last M6, and are doing the same again and so will depreciate faster than the M5.It will depreciate like a bd though. I'd probably go for the M5 if it was my money, and have near identical performance and a more practical car for a chunk less money.
They should price it at the same level as the M5 - it's an alternative, not a far superior car.

How can you call it a mistake when they've sold more than they hoped for? They should price it at the same level as the M5 - it's an alternative, not a far superior car.
Good news about the decent brakes - as someone has said above, it is about time and befits a car of this price/performance.
But gold calipers...?! I know Merc already use red/orange and Ferrari/Maserati/Porsche have got red/yellow, but surely they could've found a less blingy colour than gold?!

Who cares about the extra 1/3 fuel economy as you drive from the show room you've lost 10k, and continue to do so every year for the next several year? But hey, that extra £30 saving at the pumps really made a difference

Isn't it just a difference in price carried up from the rest of the 6/5-series ranges? Mermaid said:
It is, but to make the M6 attractive and sell in reasonable quantities, it needs to be priced to provide incentive to the customer.
I doubt they're overly concerned about whether people buy the M5 or the M6 as long as they buy one or the other - I suspect the profit margins are fairly similar? I guess the question is whether the price of the M6 relative to the M5 will cause people to go and buy another manufacturer's car. loveice said:

And so many were discounted so heavily. And that's the mistake, price it sensibly, and better chances of retaining sensible residuals and keeping your customers happier IMO.
