what about this:

Plus a nice big turbo and the world's loudest blow off valve, and we're on the right track wink
From what I have learned on the multiplicity of GT86/BRZ threads thus far, it is strictly forbidden to consider a higher performance variant of this car a desirable development.

Hence I treat this remark...

Definitely want! The Subaru version more so than the Toyota. I like the basic look of it.

What's been done to it?
It's been ruined, is what's been done to it. The suspension, which was carefully crafted to provide a supple and responsive ride, has been slammed by a couple of inches to give it a good "stance". The reasonably sized wheels with sensibly profiled tyres, which gave it a low unsprung weight and progressive breakaway, have been ditched in favour of massive and rims that make it look good.

Both modifications have been done because that's what many people think is sporty. It doesn't work on an S-Line 1.9TDi Audi, and it doesn't work here.

The white car looks sensational it is a shame that it will probably ruin the whole point of the car. If you could retain the same handling and the same thin tyres it would be great.

Litchfield Imports are already hinting at the upgrade packages they'll offer on their site. I'm sure they'll be looking to import the RA and breathe on it too.

Regarding the aftersales package, I recently got a mailing from Subaru on the XV which listed the new ETC package. Maybe the penny has dropped at IM that with the unfavourable £/Yen exchange rate they'll need to pull something out of the bag although I don't think ETC is inclusive of servicing.
yep, I noticed that

strap a turbo on, tweak here, tweak there; 300bhp plus bonzer track car

tempting

Big power, big wheels, stiff suspension and suddenly it's lovely balance is no more. Looks great stock smile

All Subaru had to do was to fit a fruity header that gets the warble back and the punters would come running.

Given the choice (IMO and a biased one at that) the Subaru would be the best choice. Like the stripped out RA, just need to take it 2wd rallying for building a fan base like the rwd escorts of the 70's.

Needs to be world rally blue, a big turbo, loudest blow off valve in the world, gold alloys and a big spoiler wink

I hope this car sells really well for Subaru, and more powerful versions come along the line, teach an Evo a lesson or 2 wink

So hang on...I'm a bit confused... are these 2 cars exactly the same but with different manufacturers badges on??

The limited pics of each that I have seen look very similar.

I think I have read that the Subaru adds £5k to the Toyota price. Good old IM biggrin (Do they still import Subarus?)

Nope - there are 3. Subaru, Toyota and Scion (in US).

International Motors. They (used to?) import Subaru and Izuzu cars into the UK.

A considerable amount of lowering and a set of Work Emotion CR-Kai alloys.

It certainly looks nice, but I suspect it might defeat the object of lithe handling achieved by decent suspension travel and reasonable tyre side wall.

CR-Kais are pretty light weight, as far as non-forged aftermarket wheels go, though.

I think you'l find a lot of sports car buyers, buy on what looks good rather than "Handling" and "Feel" etc, which are very subjective terms bandied about an awful lot, but mean rather differant things to a lot of people

Me for example, if a car rides well, has decent body control, and turns in the same direction as the sterring wheel, i rate that as good handling, or good enough for me at any rate.

All this talk of feel through the wheel etc that journos bang on about just goes over my driving head and hands, maybe i'm just a st driver frown , but one pothole or rough road surface feels much the same as another through the wheel to me

Not familiar with the feeling of the wheel loading up, letting you know how hard you're pushing the tyres and how close to the edge of grip you are? Could be you're just holding the wheel too tight.
