You can lease an SLK 250CDI on a 6 + 23 profile for £199 PM + VAT.

Despite being a diesel convertible, which seems an odd combination still, it seems great value.
Where is this deal?
Sorry it is £299 + VAT.

I'm certain it was a bit lower the other day though.

It's fine, I can afford it. You don't have to worry about how I'll feel in 5 years time. The question was is it cheaper to lease or purchase outright.
It isn't as simple as what is cheapest.

Finance, leasing and purchasing outright are all the best and worst option depending on a huge range of variables that only you would know.

Does it matter? You are clearly so loaded that stressing over whether its cheaper or not is like deliberating over the Grab Bag Walkers versus the conventional Walkers in terms of price.

It's funny how you guys can never answer the question which was initially asked.
Why would we? 3 days ago you were looking to insure a 1.2 Clio.

Didn't even know they did a diesel SLK. I guess they saw the sales of the VAG versions and decided they wanted a slice.
Hope BMW don't do it with the Z4!

Yes, to insure a 1.2 clio.

I'm assuming you haven't read all of the topic. The topic asked if there was any insurers that offered DOChehe.

If you paid £30k I bet you would lose £10k in 2 years. Lease looks like a good deal.

Have you thought about insurance?
Yeah I've found insurance for £6k which Im prepared to pay. The price is decent for a 19 years old.
Why on earth would a 19 year old want a 1.8 SLK?
Why wouldn't I?
Because it is the sort of car that a bald sixty year old would buy his mistress.

Go and try a 1969 Mini Cooper S, or an Elan Sprint or an Alfa Sud.

Or if you want something modern, try a Mk1 MX5, an Elise or even an Alfa 147.

Just because you can afford to do it does not make it right.

But if you have to get a 1.8 SLK, and if it has to be new, then leasing is probably the better option.

You've never had a Merc. You might like one.

What is it with kids wanting new cars that they realistically cant afford! They should be driving cheap bangers and getting drunk at the weekends and making a sober attempt on a Sunday at the the previous nights forgettable knee trembler behind the club glass bins.

Go out and live a little! Spend your hard earned pocket money on sex and drugs so you don't end up doing it when your older.. All cars just become cars after a while unless they are really special or have enthusiast potential - a new mid spec merc just isn't that.

I probably would, especially one of those nice rumbly V8s.

But I am 42 years old.

When I was 19 I had an MG BGT V8.

A Merc of any description was the last thing on my mind.

Forgive my ignorance, but is the OP thinking of buying a diesel SLK? Does such a thing exist?

Anyway, I would lease, if the mileage was acceptable.
