Thats not bad at all, seen as I was looking at an 2004 SL that was going to cost me £210 a month for 5 years to buy outright.http://www.bluechillicars.com/personal-contract-hi...
I think the SLK is a nice looking car, but OP £6k on insurance is mental and it won't be much cheaper the year after, (say £4k) so thats £10k alone over the two years of ownership on a car that you won't even own.

That comes out around 8K for 2 years. Not the 6K in the original post.http://www.bluechillicars.com/personal-contract-hi...
Not so cheap afterall!
Sorry to deviate from the original thread, but I was quite tempted by £250 a month!. It seems all the great deals referred to, do not actualy seem to exist. Somebody else said you can get SLK diesel for £199+VAT. I cannot see any evidence for that claim either..

Surely the mileage limitation could become a right pain. I don't or probably won't do more than 10k in my personal car but what if circumstances change? - jobs/commute, living situation, other commitments etc
Particularly at 19. That said excess miles might be fine just wouldn't like to be possibly restricted.

I felt the same and it's something like 13p per mile overage... Thought that was okay. Particularly at 19. That said excess miles might be fine just wouldn't like to be possibly restricted.

Lets see.
OP drives a 1.2 Clio.
OP asked about DOC cover on said Clio insurance so he can 'drive nan and dad to the supermarket' (or possibly to cover him to drive a brand new leased car?)
OP now asks about leasing an SLK costing him £6k ins + £3k lease payments p.a, because 'he can afford it'
OP is called Lee which I am sure has been used by previous fantasists.

I'm not sure I agree.
If you were a 19 year old fantasist and were having a wet dream about a shiny car, would it really be about a 1.8 SLK?
Hi, i've not posted before but read the thread and decided to give it a go. I've just ordered my slk 250cdi amg from Mercedes themselves (personal lease)...yes you read right, Mercedes! I have done all the research in to prices with every lease company you could imagine and had some great quotes, but after speaking with their corporate department (they supply the lease companies, who then supply us), they have offered me the best deal. Believe me when i say i have hunted the lease market to death and this is the best deal. I'm leasing direct from MB, no middle person and the best deal was beaten. It was a no brainer for me. I don't work for MB, I have no affiliation to the company, except for being in love with the marque and I have not been asked to write this. If anyone is seriously looking to lease, you can do a lot worse than speak to MB corporate.

MB mentioned 3 times, Meredes mentioned twice and a new post raving about the corporate arm whilst protesting they havent been asked to write this on their behalf - if I was being cynical then I would wonder if this was being done for SEO purposes.......... Herbs, I am just an ordinary member of the public who has had a great deal from MB. Yes Mercedes is mentioned (along with MB), but then again, it is a post about an SLK...funny that!! Be as cynical as you like, I've no reason to lie or waste my time on here, hiding an ulterior motive. Changing the subject somewhat....your reply to my original post is rather rude. My only aim was to let others know that MB are trying to claw business back from independent lease companies and will look to offer a great deal.
