People are always going on about ice driving but they always seem to be on a flat lake or something easy. At Christmas in Bosnia I turned onto a mountain steep downhill road that the local boys were sledging down, snow turned to ice. With a crazy drop on one side I had my Discovery in low range first I was at half walking pace, couldn't stop for 3 kilometres, if I tried to stop I just slid faster downhill,scary. In an auto. I would have gone right off, useless.
