Computer says "150 miles".

I need to do about 650 miles this week.

Computer says "no", and nowhere near me has any fuel at the moment.

Can the next person who sees a fool filling up a jerry can use said jerry can to douse the fool and barbecue them? Thank you.

Red light has been on in mine for a while now. Computer says range 10 miles and most stations by me are empty. My dads company car has a full tank which is 800 miles as it just stays on the motorway and his weekend car is also low with a range of 20 miles.

Two full cars, 40 gals in the garage. One car = 4.0 litre six cylinder moster weighing over 2 tonnes, so maybe 250 miles.

Other car, 1.8 turbo, if I'm careful 400 miles. Re-fill from cans in garage = 250 miles.

So 900 miles.

Plus unlimited, if slow miles, on either of my two pushbikes, up to maybe 30 or 40 miles a day at my current fitness levels?

Plus maybe a range of 10 miles maximum a day on a pair of trainers biggrin

Oh wait, I've also got an electric scooter in the garage which I used to use around the paddock at race tracks - does 5 miles on one charge, so that's another bit of extra mileage, right??!!

Your garage says you're running a 318ci sport.

That car looks like a diesel to me....and not a BMW.confused

My VXR8 has only got a 1/4 of a tank and nobody near me has any Vpower ( I try and run exclusively on it) and this weekend I have a trip from home (Southampton) to Salisbury for a dyno session at Janspeed and of course Sunday Service.

Thank Jehovah that I run on LPG!! Plenty of that around.

40 gals in the garage?

Is this a commercial garage or a private garage?

I'm fked. 80 mile left in the Evora. 70 left in the Discovery. Both V6 and good for 30mpg. Fuel station in my village and the next are sold out...do I chance it and go into the nearest big town to fill up and waste the little I have...what if they have none too?

Don't be sorry...how sad of the other guy to check your garage and even know that the dash on the pic did not match...he is trolling....and a pedant.

At the moment, 295 miles left, last filled it on Wednesday to make sure I had enough for a 150-mile round trip. Glad I did because there was a diversion, had I not filled I would have been very low on the way back.

If I could brim it: (old picture)

I reckon 700 is achievable on a long motorway haul, but I've never had the need.

Assuming all vehicles full prior to apocalypse but no jerry cans etc I make it a maximum range of 1800, very roughly though because those are maximum ranges for all.

In reality, they're not and two of the bikes aren't even road legal (although are I think full). Computer says I've got about 300 left in the mondeo, about 250 in the 6 and could get probably 400-500 from the bikes with the contents of their tanks and what is left in various others plus the lawn mower and genny.

So about 550 by car(s) and an extra 400-500 by bike(s) although could extend that by putting all the fuel in the most economic bike (which will do about 60mpg).

Assuming all three cars full 40L each, total 120L (27 Gallons) then about 3000 miles if I use a bit more manual electrical assist.

Doing 110mpg at the moment wink

Assuming only Commuting and no day trips.
Wife does 10 miles a day 5 days a week.
I do 26 miles a day 16 days a month.
Call it 150 miles a week. So 20 weeks.

I have about 3/4 of a tank, so only 150 miles left for me.

Do I need to panic yet?
