It is a style thing I think. The hatch is made out to be track aligned where the fastback and sedan are not. So yeah, an image thing.
I would consider a sedan but it just looks to damn contrived with creases everywhere.
The fastback just looks a little strange so on balance the hatch kinda nails it.
I'm a sucker for a fastback shape. That said, I've never been fashionable! I would consider a sedan but it just looks to damn contrived with creases everywhere.

To me, it looks much more attractive than the hatch but I would debadge it; the back looks very busy with all of those badges.
There's a lot of focus on Hyundai's electric offerings right now but their performance ICE offerings are still rocking it. They've come a long, long way in a decade!

I attended a supercar event at Meadow Hall today and thanks to Sporting Bears and a kind owner I had unforgettable ride in a 650bhp missile. To give some context my car is a Golf R32 at 250bhp it’s pretty nippy but it’s a glorified lane mower compared to this thing! I’ve never experienced acceleration where I’ve felt light headed afterwards, the grip the car generates while been perfectly comfortable is unreal. I couldn’t stop giggling like a girl when he planted his right foot that was nothing compared however when we stopped on a quiet road and he decided to use launch control. On my second ride he launched it 5 times in a row on the same road. We didn’t get to any particular big speeds but the way we got to 60 was amazing. My face was aching from laughing and smiling like an idiot. Every traffic light I was subjected to the same process. The car held on the brake, engine revved to 5,000rpm and then takeoff. No wheel spin just a sustained push in the back. You know the feeling when you’re on a plane and the pilot spools the engine and you rocket towards the runway? Well it’s like that but the g forces are magnified.
Having read numerous car magazines they’ve always said that turbos are muted. Maybe compared to GT3’s but it was loud enough to be exciting the turbos sounding like a jet engine was pretty special. Downshifts were superb. The owner said it wasn’t even the optional sports exhaust as he preferred the 4 tailpipes instead of the 2 oval tips you get with sports option. Honestly it felt like the car was going to take off.
I’ve never liked Porsche cabs but after today, one would definitely find a parking spot in my lottery garage.
