I want to like this but there's something wrong with the stance. It's a bit too high and it looks as though its perched on top of the chassis / wheels. The exhaust looks awful. I would have just gone with a single tailpipe, albeit larger than OE. Either that or concealed the 4 pipes behind the rear valance. Those wheels aren't right for the E9 either. Obviously these are just aesthetics and totally subjective.
I do know what you mean - there are some bits that are 'unresolved'

Don't like it.

The stance is wrong (as said above)

And I don't think an E9 "suits" a 400HP Rumbly V8. The original CS were straight 6 and more of a "cruiser" type than a out and out sports car. So IMO any engine swap should be a 6 pot and possible 1 down from anything M so perhaps a 330i petrol engine with an auto too.Chcuk in some modern brakes, a sensible exhust, a nice discrete sound system and people will like you

But I always adored Mike Burroughs (yes he of "Rusty") E9 2.8 he had for a while

Effortless cool cloud9

I hate those bloody chrome arch trims though. I took them off mine, fortunately just before the accumulated dust and crud beneath them had started to cause any damage. In truth, my old 3.0 CS was a bit of a shed but I was seduced by those looks. They can hide so many horrors beneath those gorgeous lines.

I'd love a track E9.
