Yeah the tyres look a bit naff. Looks too low as well, like its trying too hard to be cool.
Agree on tyres, only looks a tiny bit lower than an original one though. Overdone, would sooner have this one : Pretty sure it was posted before after this - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LU4bIsdnbkM 09:10

There was an old boy hawking around a similar idea for years, it was a narrowed Rover 100 called The Bullitt. He advertised it for a fairly tidy sum on eBay several times, and there was a few news stories now and again. Of course, it didn't have a working drive train (it wouldn't fit) and had to be towed everywhere (illegally).
I imagine it eventually got scrapped.
EDIT: Found a pic, Bono has let himself go a bit!
That tow bar on the front is genius, and possibly the only thing holding the two parts together. I imagine it eventually got scrapped.

The guy in that videos face tells you everything. Not the fastest, not the best handling. But clearly puts a big grin on your face!

Everything but the steering wheel.A 2002 body conversion for the mk1 (E88) 1 series convertible https://www.topgear.com/car-news/modified/you-can-...
The rear end isn't quite there for the 2002 look IMO, and I'd change the mirrors, but on the whole I like it.
I'll have it with wider arches like the 2002ti and 1M mechanicals please.

Aaargh, you beat me to it! Popped up on my Facebook feed from Top Gear yesterday evening. I think this looks fantastic (but given that it's carbon and bespoke, far too expensive!). Agree about the 1M mechanicals, the rest I could live with! The rear end isn't quite there for the 2002 look IMO, and I'd change the mirrors, but on the whole I like it.

Not a fan of that BMW at all, the sides look too high and slab-sided, the windscreen looks too short in comparison, the wing mirrors look like something from the back of a max power mag and the back end to me looks like 3 people were involved, 1 did the top half, 1 did the bottom and 1 did the lights but it looks like they never met or spoke to each other during the design
