What I'll never understand is why you'd buy a car that was designed to be a fast road/performance car. With decent-ish suspension. Which had a specific bespoke race car derived engine in it. And change the key components that make the car what it is.

I get modifying a car to enhance its performance over what the OEM was prepared to sell you. Better 3 way dampers, big Brembos, boring/stroking for more power etc. But it seems odd to drastically change the fundamentals of the car. you might as well start with a basic E30 316i and fit the cosmetic M3 parts to it if you're going all in.
Absolutely right ref starting with a base model, if there are no fundamental differences in the shell.

Maybe the stock m3 engine was blown?

Changing parts to upgrade from the original is fine, as all road cars are built to a cost and spec

As people seem to be getting upset about the orange M3, what are people’s thoughts on this one?

It’s got the S65 and DCT fitted to it btw.

Personally I think it’s fantastic, black wheels n’all!

It's nice but it's not an M3. I think it's a 325i?

Never ceases to amaze me just how much cash he has to spunk on toys.

I'm looking forward to seeing the Murcielago finished. V12 on ITB's will sound immense! And it'll look nuts with the full GT1 bodywork.

It must be awesome to have access to the cash, skilled employees and workshops that he does. So much cooler than just buying the latest hyper super duper thing from the established manufacturers. Has he always been loaded? Or do DW have a huge turnover? Good luck to him either way. I'd love his collection.

Really like his YT Videos and his collection of cars are mint!

Also it’d be a shame not to mention his next door neighbour Craig @ Dyno Torque who also has some epic projects going on. His LT4’d Aston is spot on, and his Ralliart Pajero build is going to be mega.

That'll be this one presumably https://www.dynotorque.co.uk/2020/04/01/lt4-aston-...

He's on here as tinker-27. It's also his "job" to fit pretty much an LS into just about anything it will fit into and some of those projects are epic. There are a bunch on his site. https://www.dynotorque.co.uk/

I particularly like the LS3 Delorean https://www.dynotorque.co.uk/2020/05/28/ls3-delore...

Although for pure sleeper cred the ultimate has to be the LS3 Omega https://www.dynotorque.co.uk/2020/06/03/ls3-vauxha...

Nice chap. Dyno'd my SV700.

My e46 ls1 was one of their earlier creations. Gone now but not forgotten.

Its clearly a gearbox too and I'd guess thats the diff near the block [ / double block thing ] so its a transaxle box for mid engine mounting.
