Love this .... apart from the rear lights as they make it look like a Corvette.irocfan said:

...but ribbon-profiles on 20"s (bigger?) with a fake-retro look to them??? Just screams 'trying too hard!'.
There's a tuner E-Type in the UK running similarly comical wheels with a similar drop, and again it just looks wrong. The curvaceous, tucked-under flanks need some air under them to look right, and to preserve the lithe, athletic shape of the car...and modern ultra-big wheels and ribbon tyres just don't work on any classic. Even the re-inventions of the Stratos and Integrale haven't gone the full show-car...

Some in here will hate this even despite the level of work that goes into a Chip Foose car, personally, it's nice to see him putting his style into something a bit different.
This car was unveiled a while ago....it’s Chip Foose and it’s American. It was always going to have ridiculous oversize, chrome wheels....I don’t get it, you don’t get it, but it’s what they do! I think they overstepped the mark on this one, the E-type Roadster is THE most beautiful car ever made. Modifying it will always make it worse!

I think the last few fall into the probably done with great craftsmanship and quality but not really to everyones taste category.
Yep, so badly modified. Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
