Mooncraft 6x4.com. This is a weird one, I'm not sure what to think of it hehe . Start with a Smart Fortwo, chop the body to lower it, add an axle at the back and make a body around it all. The company also designed the Tommy Kaira ZZ, Yamaha OX99-11 and Tamiya Big Wig RC car.

This has the standard Smart 61bhp engine, the other rear axle has 96bhp through the electric motors. So it's a hybrid biggrin .

It's as mad as a mad thing, I could have put it in the badly modified thread, but I kind of like it, I think.

The Supra looks like a Prelude with a Veilside kit

In a similar Supra/4x4 vein

I'm quite liking these, which is a surprise as I'm not normally a fan of either (same owner as well)...

That's the first picture I have seen of the new Supra that has born any resemblance to the MK4.

If it’s at E Kanoo it’s probably about to receive a 2Jz as well.

Yes, RWD. There’s a dedicated FB page for it: Mk 4 Escort Rwd Turbo Project (sorry, don’t know how to add link smile)

Love that. About 5 years ago there was a pre production MK3 RWD on eBay and it only made about £1200. I was gutted that I missed it.

Really?! That would have been what Ford planned to rally before going with the Sierra (I seem to have a very hazy memory of it being something along those lines.. although someone feel free to tell the proper story) I would have thought that would have been 5 figures not 4 figures.

Love the BMW powered MK3.

That sounds deeply unlikely - the "real" car was the RS1700T which is rare as hens' and very few escaped in to the wild, that was probably a tired Gartrac or home-made jobbie.

Can't help but think that Golf would be a nightmare to drive with all that weight up front. Still like to have a go though!

Yamaha OX99-11

https://www.supercars.net/blog/an-ultra-rare-yamah...

It was designed by an English company called IAD.

Eventually, Ypsilon Technology in Milton Keynes

I know what you're saying. I didn't even bid because I assumed it would be way out of my reach. It was certainly listed as being genuine and from memory, was registered on a V reg' plate. I assumed it was basically a MK2 floorpan in a MK3? Either way, it was well worth the price it made. It wasn't an RS1700 though, just a rear drive MK3. Sorry, I should probably have been clearer. smile
