But... but... a '64 would have been a Series 1 which had the glorious 6-cylinder, plentiful, especially now with so many E-Type specialists.

Nah, let's chuck in some crate Ford.

SBF = $ not a lot

Jag 6 pot = $ a shed-load more (one might imagine)

I'm torn over that DS... I love them, and the idea of a big engine in it appeals, but those wheels just ruin it for me...
I think the DS is one car that is ripe for an electric conversion.
  1. They are all about wafting
  2. It is not a great engine in the original car
  3. It looked futuristic at the time (and still does to a certain extent)
  4. There are lots of them
If I were to have one car (made reliable, restored and all that), I'd have a DS in a heartbeat. If it was electric (and I could charge it easily), I'd definetly have one.

I'd argue this above - I'd have a DS over almost any supercar. That said, if you were to offer me a choice over a DS or a Delta Integrale, I think my head might explode hehe
I'd have a Citroën DS Décapotable in my lottery garage:

That is awesome.

As mentioned above the B-reg is a bit of an odd-ball, registered as a 'Ford Escort' in 2002... but it sounds like its essentially an 5200

Be interested to see what / if it actually sells for here, thats got to be the best way to own a classic Ford Escort - the MOT history is exemplary too (no worries about rust either!)

The idea of driving fast in a frogeye and having an accident is scary, add a tuned lowered without a roll cage no thanks. Nicely nodded, would go for a proper paint job if it was mine.

The K20’d e-type they’ve got will upset a few people too.

I think they are fine, as long as they arn't hanging out side of the wheelbase / footprint (ie: Caterham / Westfield / Cobra)

I had one on a Sierra Cosworth - I believe the rules were that the exhaust doesn't protrude outside the "footprint" (as above) and had to be behind the "centre" of the car. It got checked a couple of times but that was always the least of my problems with the Police during those times hehe

Buy that and the e-type with the ford v8, then put the XK back in the e-type and the v8 in the frogeye. biggrin
