RE: Chris Harris video: Noble M600 and Atom V8
Discussion
Great great video, thanks Chris and all involved
Pure escapism....so surprisingly the atom moves up a few slots in my fantasy garage after watching that, I've never been a big fan of them as concept but that V8 seems like the perfect answer to the ultimate car question (whatever that is). I've been in love with the concept of the M600 though, but now i'm not so sure. The neutral window is quite narrow? I thought one of the great things about the F40 was it's controllability slightly over the limit? Does that's not translate to the noble or is that not what the F40 is about?
I love getting driving impressions about cars like these 'cos that the closet I'm ever going to get to them!
Awesome, love it thanks PH.

OK... now I know what to watch tonight
M600 just became a very "want" from the pictures
BTW, I just have to ask: did they bring the two cars thinking one would break down?
They brought both the grey & the red ones from the episode of Top Gear yes, but that issue has been fixed now and funnily enough the joke's wearing a bit thin with the guys from Noble now.M600 just became a very "want" from the pictures

Awesome car, just wish it had a harness to keep me on the passenger side of the car when we're taking bends at 140mph!

I drove it. I've nothing negative at all about the drive but I cannot state enough how I despise all these buttons they stick everywhere. It simply isn't my thing.
It's a personal thing and why I would veer towards something like the M600.
As it happens when I was trying to decide between the F458 and the Macca (the Macca had won at this point) I discovered that I had a sprog on the way so had to bin the idea of a 2 seater and switch to finding a 2+2 that wasn't a 911 or a GT.
???? If you can afford a 458 or a Macca - then surely you can afford to buy an MPV as well for the "sprog" .....It's a personal thing and why I would veer towards something like the M600.

Doesn't work like that I have an MPV for winter but in the summer I want a sports car that can transport the family as we move around quite a bit and I can't afford to keep a silly car at each venue. It also means you can ferry the sprogs to their grandparents and carry on for a quiet weekend away in a car that allows you to reminisce on times when you were free without juggling multiple cars around. If I had a 2 seater, as before, I would now have to chose where to leave it, not be able to use it much and have to drive an MPV all the time. I'd rather die. Now I know exactly what I had been wanting from the Drive channel and in particularly the exploits of Monkey.
The best automotive coverage I have enjoyed since Meaden's Pike's Peak article in Evo some years ago. Having the two full laps is great, as it immerses the viewer without interruption ensuring you really feel like you have the best passenger ride, getting to enjoy all of the sensations.
The icing on the cake is that the car's are truly epic too.
PS Can the internet man change my rating? I accidentally clicked 5 but meant to click 11!

Awesome video, thank you very much Monkey & also top rate work by Neil Carey.
I'll repost my comment from last year, nothing more to add:

The bottom line is - the M600 is a proper drivers car.
Nothing more, nothing less, it's where my money would be going.
Apparently Noble measure your man-spuds to ensure you qualify as a customer...

I just watched the Atom bit again. It's just made me want to get a base model Atom even more. I know it won't be the same, but there's no way I'll be buying the V8 in this life. A rare moment of realistic aspiration.
I've had slow Caterhams and fast Caterhams in the past, loved them all. And I expect a slower Atom is still a hoot. A factory fresh Atom 3 245 with next to no extras is now top of my to-do list.

Did you get the 2+2 version of the Typhon to solve that itch? It's a personal thing and why I would veer towards something like the M600.
