its all just no reserve junk from bca even most of the pictures are from bca surely you’d be better off bidding on the junk at bca itself

Bought my wife's MX5 from them. It's an honest little car. Full Mazda history, new discs and pads recently by the looks of things.

Needs a bit of love, but their adverts are honest.

Bloke in the office says they get 10s of 'winners' not turn up every day. They just relist next day. Which is how I got the Mazda. And £500 less than the auction I 'missed'.

Refreshingly honest is how I'd describe them.

If it’s that bad why won’t they just scrap it themselves?

Guess they can’t shill bid the scrap man whistle
Yes, it's a strange business model. I've put serious bids on in the past and been outbid, only for it to be re-listed again the next day. A cursory look at the ended listing shows sometimes cars are auctioned repeatedly for months.
On another car forum , its been noted that they are usually bid up by them. And as said then relist them. Local to me and I wouldnt buy from them !

Gosh, this owner deserves a high five. Devil's pump though.
It’s back, was on this thread a year ago when Sytner Nottingham was trying to sell it for £21000 with 210k
I know we all want our cars for nothing but I think its priced about right. What do you guys think?

Edit - with an electric tow bar why is it sticking out in all the pics?
This appears to have sold already.

Not quite on trend with this thread for 'High mileage cars for sale".

But, just back from NYC, and got speaking to a Crown Victoria cabbie, his current/only vehicle is at over 900,000 miles, showed me around it - had it from new he said, all original running gear!

Have a soft spot for these workhorses.

Anyway thought I would share, something about a high mileage car that is just so cool! smile

That’s particularly incredible when you consider how bad NYC conditions are: lots of potholes, road salt etc. I’d love a Crown Victoria.

I've always thought of the big yellow saloons as part of the New York City landscape, somehow. It's a shame that they're being replaced with ugly vans, but it is important progress that they make so much more sense environmentally and particularly for disabled passengers.

Not high mileage per se, but never seen a GTR with such high mileage.

I suspect a few fun miles have been done in that!

Re. The crown Vic

I didn’t get the chance to go in one the other year, I was gutted! One cabbie I was chatting to who was driving an Avensis, said the cars only last 4/5 max! They can’t withstand the conditions anywhere near as well as the crown Vics.

They dont sell the avensis in the USA, maybe it was a camry? I'd be surprised if a camry doesn't outlast a Crown Vic tbh.

Camrys and corollas are some of the most durable cars on the road today.

Went in a Toyota Camry "Hybrid" to Newark on way back to airport, it was a rattly/horrid thing compared to the crown vic I went in, crown Vic for the win just for the kick down noise from the low pressure V8 smile

This.

The Crown Victoria was never particularly well made, it's just easy to maintain. That's why they were used for so much heavy duty, high mileage fleet work in the US. The Camry is a better built car but not so easy to maintain

Not a bad effort in a supercharged V8.

Consider that most vehicles go to the scrapyard with rust or crash damage, and a running engine. engineering AND oils are orders of magnitude better than they were when 100k was end of life - with maintenance you'll see 400k on the original headgasket (assuming you keep on top of maintenance)

The mileage is not a problem, the condition and maintenance history are what matters. Inspect it before you buy it and if all looks ok then snap it up.

You don't see mileages like that in the US! Goes to prove they're pretty solid machines.

Where are all the old ones then?
