I read it that a new (reconditioned) engine was fitted that was showing 89k miles. I can't help but think the line "it owes me a fortune" is not the best line in an advert.
What the ad says:

"A RECON ENGINE SHOWING 89000 MILES FITTED ALL DOCUMENTED IN THE SERVICE HISTORY THE GEARBOX WAS SERVICED WITH NEW OIL FILTERS CAMBELTS WERE CHANGED I ALSO HAVE RECIEPTS FOR ENGINE AND WORK DONE COSTING £4300 IN MAY LAST YEAR."

Who on earth knows what this might mean! rofl

I’d interpret that as...

In May last year a reconditioned engine was fitted. The replacement engine had covered 89k, this was verified by service history that accompanied the replacement.

Whilst the replacement engine was being fitted I took the opportunity to service the gearbox and change the cambelt. The total bill for this work was £4300, with receipts to prove.

Even the A/T database has it 2 grand above market.

A hairdresser will buy it - and trim the clock.

It really probably isn’t though - but then what do I know about cheap high mileage Pandas and things going horribly wrong?

55000 miles a year in a diesel 208. Hardcore!

No interior photos, but the bodywork looks decent for the mileage.

It's certainly worn the miles well! From looking at the interior photos I would have guessed that it had done about 50k.

It's way over priced. It's a 12k car but agreed that it appears to be in good condition

That entire advert is bunk.

"BEST RED COLOUR" Wrong.

"BODY IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION...DOES HAVE MINOR SCRACTS AGE RELATED" Front looks like its been pelted with frozen sausages and then sandblasted.

"BOTH ENGINE&GEAR BOX ARE SMOOTH AND EXTREMELY POWERFULL" I can't argue with that, must be down to the colour.

"DESCRIPTION MAY VARY" ...I am filled with shame and remorse.

On the bright side, looking at the Panda’s MOT history every bit of the suspension should’ve been done (and thus be good for another 3k miles...)

Has to be the worst car to be called, excellent condition for age. I suppose it could be tarted up enough to be a station car for someone.

Pair of 200k Toledos

2014s, so about 40k a year each, not bad going!

Edit: even more, 206k on a 2016!
link

Only about 35 of these Toledos on ebay (didn't realise they did another generation) and a lot of them seem to be on moon miles.

Popular as taxi's so maybe that's why it's so up on the miles.

I thought Triumph Toledo before I clicked on the link. You’d do well to get one of those to 200k miles (and the odometer would be back to 0)
