Why? Does donning leather, and growing a beard suddenly turn you from amid mannered dentist, or solicitor into some sort of wild, manic, murderous Hells angel?

But how do you tell a bearded dentist in leather from from a genuinely murderous Hells Angel.

As an aside, I'm bald with a very large beard, and when we have the classic bike show in Stafford, I get bikers coming up to me in pubs saying "you'll be a Harley rider then...". They are nonplussed when I say I drive a cabriolet...
