Congratulations Eric, you've ruined it.

I think it looks quite good. I think they could probably have made a better 288 GTO recreation out of the 458 platform especially considering the 288 was a V8 (forget it was twin turbocharged, NA is better). Also the 288 GTO is probably the best looking Ferrari road car of all time.

Has a whiff of the late-mid life crisis about it.

Not sure what this car has to do with mid life crisis to be fair. You could say that about anyone buying a supercar.
It is a fine line, I'll grant you. Eric crossed it. He'll look like a tool driving it here in the UK. Just IMO.

I didn't really like it first time out, now I'm really loving the rear lines. Even so, for what it cost it should be a work of art.

If he owns the tooling does that mean they'll make bits for it if needed or of he breaks something that's one off, that's it?

Hmm, I keep going "like it, no, hate it, no, like it, wait no, I hate it".....

My backside is getting splinters from this fence.

aside from the wheels, which has been pointed out previously as a bit of a cop out given the rest of the effort, I really like that.

It's not to everyones tastes, but then when you're commissioning a car for yourself, why should it be!

Is that a self-adhesive fuel filler cap that they fitted by throwing it at the car from 100 yards?

Stick a set of HRE Vintage 505 Alloys (see below from Stanceworks) on it and I'd like it a lot.

I like this and even if I didn't I like the fact that it can be done. It's Eric's money, so if he wants to spend it in Modena why not. It mut also be very good marketing for Ferrari, a music icon partnered with a motoring icon.

I see 348 too. Nice, but I think i'd be happy enough with the 458.

I think the front end is an improvement over the 458-was never a fan of the rather contrived 'winglets'. The C pillar intakes are nice too-I see more 288/355/F40 there. And funny how the rear buttresses look so old now they've been gone a while from newer Ferraris.

With recent somewhat challenging designs I suspect there are some Ferrari owners who want the performance of the modern cars but are missing the beauty and elegance of the older styling.

Next time you hear somebody joking about McLaren naming their cars after fax machines, just remind them: SP12 EC.

Taking costs and craftsman ship into consideration, I really want to like/appreciate it, but frankly, I don't. Prefer the lines of the 458 all day long
