Has anyone got a link to the BMW RWD Challenge web site cant seem to find it?
http://www.205cup.com/forum/index.php

It's part of the 205 challenge, the main website seems to be a bit out of date, but the forums are still active.

Great vid , keep that up and soon you want to head down to Australia for the targa Tasmania Tarmac rally. See if u can get a museum car from Porsche and run against Walter Rohrl. Last year he ran his San remo 911 restored from museum.keep up the good work!!

Brilliant video, also another Range Rover classic with saggy headlining!

Fantastic vid Mr H. It reminds me of the fun I had at Oulton Park on the drift circuit in mine, and must have helped my reactions on a subsequent 'ring trip in the wet, where things got suddenly loose at hohe acht....

Utterly brilliant vid as always!! Really captured the essence of clubman rallying.

If you like sideways, one of Pat Flynns weekends in Sweden in an E30 or E36 is a must for all. Here we are last year having some sideways fun...

Anyone know if these have a similar block to the coveted Alpina and diesel engines for the E30?

Brilliant video - not sure they were punctures though, more like blowouts tongue out

Chris, thank god you don't need to make non relevant car mag videos any more.

He's the first post Clarkson star, which given his e28 M5 I support.

These old 325 challenge cars are great fun and amazingly robust along with it.

If anyone is looking to buy one I know of one might be for sal (a mate of mine has still got his 325 challenge car in the back of the garage since an incident last time out and might sell it due to lack of time/use).

Great vid, looks a good little test stage too. You look to be getting to grips with it! When you going to come out and do an event with us Chris? The offer of shared service with us still stands!
We have had a mixed season so far, with a few good results and roll and an off road experience!! The beemer had to have every panel apart from the bonnet and front wing!!frown

Regards, Martin Auskerin
Hi Martin - seems to be a speciality of John O'G's driving too. :-o
But if you don't break it occasionally, you aren't trying hard enough wink

MORE OF THIS!

Great Sorry, I used to do mechanicing for a mate in the UK rallycross championship. He had a N reg tranist, that ran (sometimes) on chip fat / diesel mix. We raced a 205 gti in the stock hatch class. As chris said the banter is as good as the racing!

In my opinion the E30 has one major problem, way too many turns lock to lock. Occasionally I would get...lost, where is straight ahead again? Not good. Fly in to a corner off the throttle, oversteer starts to develop, let go the steering wheel, grab the wheel again, add a little more lock....yee haa...now where was straight ahead again?
I echo that Kawasicki, my first reminder of how an E30 325i can bite you if you don't pay attention was when I was on the way to one of those BMW shows at Donnington, the morning after a heavy storm. Rounding a right hander I thought I knew well in any condition at somewhere over 5k in 3rd, I got heavily sideways on the way out and proceeded to chase the steering left and right for the next 100 metres using both sides of the road. Got it back, but for the next few miles my heart was doing loop de loops... Rest of journey completed at a much more sedate pace! 4.25 turns lock to lock and a 21 year old who thought he was Nigel Mansell on an empty road is a dangerous combo! A mate also had an E30 325i with the optional LSD and M-Tec springs at the time, which only raised the speed at which you would get into trouble, not improved your chances of getting it back!

Still, I loved my 325i and they are a mega rare sight on the road these days, I havent seen a chrome bumper one, 2 door or 4 door, for ages.

Anyway, great video Chris, sideways to victory!

At least you remembered the keys for the BM unlike my first trackday with a trailer where I went to fuel the track car (50 or so miles from home) and realised the keys were on my desk at home!

Rally is a wonderful sport, but one of the most dangerous as well. R.I.P. Gareth Roberts frown

Yeah, I would like to just stick to what chris was doing...blast around a muddy track rather than between trees!
