I presume those defending their right to park wherever they choose and their 'fk 'em' attitude are in their late teens, early twenties?

Would like to think this is the case and that one day realise with age how selfish and self centred their attitude was.

There's plenty of ways to deter people from parking where you don't want them to.

Pissing on the door handles of cars parking in disabled bays without blue badges is a good one.

Jesus. There's more of them than I thought. How utterly depressing.
You can continue with your turn the other cheek attitude, but i'm not risking any more damage to any of my cars than I have to.
See how Christian you fell after every single dent.

Why do people park next to you when you've parked as far away from the shop as possible to try and stop them?
To wind you up?

As said, dont go to supermarkets. I use tescos and it's cheaper to have an online delivery than the amount of petrol i'd use driving there.

If i go to somewhere like b&q, just park as far away as possible from the entrance. It's depressing but people really dont seem to want to walk a couple of hundred yards anymore.

Although I was at my local Sainsburys the other day and must have done three laps of the car park looking for a space when there were two dozen empty disabled spaces and half a dozen parent+child available in one big empty block right by the front door. I was bloody tempted!!!!
It's OK to use them if all the other spaces are full.

As above, you can park anywhere you want, well out the way, and some pleb will still park next to you.

Ive heard this happens but must admit it hasnt happened to me yet. I really do keep my car park parking to a minimum though, i'm proper anal about it. Estoril is a bd to match.

I s I'd probably not normally park in disabled bays as they're quite often terrible at parking their own Motability wagons.
I can just about cope being called a "spacker" as you so nicely put it, but please don't start on my parking skills, and since when has the S3, GTR, Navara and 7 replica that i drive been available on mobility.

I'm sure you think us "spackers" sit at home all day counting our benefits and choosing our next mobility cars, well sadly not, I work hard to pay for mine, and so far manage to park them as they should be.

Hell, on a good day I can even put my own socks on and wipe my own arse.

So because someone else doesn't give a fk about your property you believe it is your divine right to use a parent and child space

Therefore denying someone with kids the use of the parent and child space

So if you don't give a fk about someone else why should anyone else give a fk about your property?
My point exactly smile thanks for your understanding.
So when you are parking in the child and parent space you won't be complaining about me repeatedly smashing my door into the side of your car

Excellent

Well done, you've established that you're in the same league as the people I am avoiding. smile like I said, continue with your Christian attitude, and you can pay the dent removal man eery time you get a fresh one.

It's not just supermarkets - it's petrol stations, motorway services and even on your own drive as the postman drags his bag down the side of your car. I even had some knob head decide to climb over my old Land Rover one night and I don't exactly live in an area known for crime.

You can only do so much to keep your car 'as new'; there will always be some inconsiderate arse who will damage it. It's just a case of when and how badly.

The vile selfishness on this thread is tragic. Makes me proud to be a 'prole'.

To be fair, spending 500 hours on an old mini surely qualifies you for some sort of disability.

I try to park next to clean tidy car that means they take pride in their cars and not ding my car when opening doors. I try to park next to the pedestrian walkway slight away from the other parked car. If i feel cheeky I park on a non parking space where cars to swing around which is way tooo big.
I did once park behind a ferari parked in a disabled spot not allowing him to get out! It does my head in people parking in disabled when he is clearly not disabled!

Yep, that's why I'm in the army. Cause I'm thick smile what's your disabilmate caused by, mate?

  • edit* just to add - we all have different taste and opinions (perfect example being this thread itself) just because you don't like a certain thing, doesn't mean everyone else doesn't either. No doubt if I saw certain aspects of your life I would disagree with one of them.

If they look female or old, steer clear.

If it's a Honda Jazz/Vaux Agila/Daewoo Matiz, find a different parking area.

Park in the Spacker or Parent and baby spaces and if anyone questions it politely tell them you're collecting your elderly mother/grandmother (adapt to fit) or meeting your wife and kids in there.

I've also found the stty parking only happens in Tescos or Morrisons. If you go to Waitrose you find a better class of people that actually respect other people's possessions.
I hate people who do that! Have you ever tried getting a toddler out of a car seat in a normal space it is impossible. People who wrongly park in these spaces should be shot in front of their families.
