Didn't they have 'Handling by Lotus' badges on them, or was that something else?

As for the Hyundai fuel call Police car, in my youth the 'panda cars' were 1.3 Maestros, so I'm sure the modern Rozzer doesn't have it so bad.

There was a Proton GTi hatch (basically a Mitsi Mirage clone) with Lotus tuned suspension. IIRC an early Lancer Evo drivetrain can bolt into them quite nicely...

The Isuzu Bighorn with handling by Lotus was quite amusing too.

I did wonder if there was only one or if they built a couple. My P4 jet beard skills are low biggrin
Rear-engined P4 (T2A).

There was a bespoke version on a P4 chassis (T3):

and a P6 version (T4):

and of course the Le Mans Rover-BRM.

Protons new car UK sales figures for their last few years were frightening:
2011 446
2012 208
2013 20
2014 11

I'm aware of the P6, but not those other 2 P4 conversions. The coupe could look quite good with a few styling tweaks around the rear quarter/window area. It's odd they skipped the P5 out with the turbine cars

I'd like one of those, I notice they call it an SUV, not sure what is particularly SUV about it, as opposed to a 'a big estate car'

Spotted on the M1 this morning.

A DVLA look-up on the reg says "TR Sportscars" which is hard to google because of the number of Triumph sites.

No idea what it is.

The shape and the big wing looks a bit Cerbera Speed 12, but the rear end looks different, low like a Marcos but without the raised bootlid. Are there any other similar LM road cars?

A fabulous product.

Flex has a notable following in California, where it's considered almost a sort of anti-SUV, probably because it eschews the truck-like aesthetics of popular SUVs and CUVs for a car-like unibody with a long wheelbase. Some say it's the heir to that West Coast cultural icon, the surf wagon.

Comes in AWD and 365hp. 0 to 60mph in 5.5 seconds. Towing capacity exceeds 2000kg !

Love the optional white top:

Piazza ,not pizza ,a tasty delight of Naples.

A car that I did know existed but I didn't know that the Ford Ecosport tailgate opened sideways not upwards, until I saw one open today.

Yup, hydrogen fuel cell is just a different energy store. It's still an EV

The T3, T4 and BRM are on display at Gaydon, I had a good old shuftie at them last week.

Looks like I'm the only one surprised there is a production car actually using a hydrogen fuel cell to produce the electricity rather than a petrol/diesel engine or plugging it into the mains...
