Not this nonsense again, we already covered this when it was first posted.

Do you think a big spike should come out the screen right between the eyes when that happens

The base shell was the from the Opel Rekord C, and although similar in design, the Holden Monaro HG/HK/HT was a totally Holden design and tooling.

Spotted this on Drivetribe's Twitter. Hartge H50 - only 10 ever made. Looks are a bit overblown but this would be an amazing thing.

I predict that they'll sell about 7 of them. New UK Toyota Camry.
The old Camry was one of the most reliable cars on the planet, but was way too expensive. the success or demise of the new car will also depend on pricing, although to be fair the old Avensis was pretty dear for what it was and didn't sell that well.

Bit of discount behind it and you'll see them with Uber stickers on the doors

A friend had one in the '90s from new, an estate - the only car I recall that had two rear wipers...

Camry dual wipers

Avensis was/is a pretty solid workhorse, the 1.8 petrol engine punching economy above its weight that helped lead Toyota to choose a 1.8 in the Prius for economy - it's not necessarily smallest that's best.
What are they making instead at Burnaston?

Used car place down the road from me has a VW Eos R in the forecourt, never realised they made a hot version
Are you sure that's a genuine 'R'? They did an Eos with the 3.2 V6 but I don't think they did an R.

Yeah always thought they were weird... My grandad had a 1987 Camry from 89-03 - I recall everything was blue, internally and externally, and the boot spoiler was rubbery and my sister and I used to bite it as toddlers... Also my granny once shut the boot lid on my head.

The Holden Apollo also had twin rear wipers wink

ETA: notice they’ve even given consideration to RHD/LHD pattern?! Seems like excessive attention to detail, especially since in my experience the drivers of these vehicles don’t use their mirror.

To be fair, you could also say that about the Merc E Class in many parts of Europe.

I'm not suggesting it's a bad thing, I think it could do pretty well in the taxi world if they get the discounts right. It would be a lot cheaper than a plug in hybrid E Class, and there must be lots of Prius taxi drivers that would upgrade for the right money

A Brütsch Mopetta. It's so small that when I saw it next to a scooter I thought it was a sidecar!

In order to speed up the development of the CLK GTR for the FIA GT Championship in 1997, Mercedes used a McLaren F1 mule onto which it attached the prototype CLK bodywork and their own LS600 6.0 V12 in place of the BMW V12. Mercedes didn't have a long relationship with McLaren at the time, so had to purchase chassis #11 from Larbre Compétition. The head start the McLaren gave Mercedes allowed it to get the CLK running within 5 months of conception.

F1 chassis #11 running the Mercedes bodywork

Never knew that until recently.

Neither did, fascinating. With that bodywork you can clearly see the, erm...inspiration for the CLK's design biggrin
