FCA made $4bn net profit last year. They still have debt, but overall they're not in bad shape.

Seems to be a new addition on there now: https://www.fiat.co.uk/new-car-deals/offers/tipo-s...
Not listed under the Tipo heading though.
School day for us all (mostly me).
"Now available from £9995", I bet there has been a mad rush at Fiat dealers since the announcement!!

95hp 1.4, my god that engine must be decades old!!

I can't for the life of me work out why Fiat aren't in a great place at the mo!
It says "Offer valid for a limited period for ordering between 25/11/19 and 31/12/19 and registering by 31/03/19." surely a misprint? Should it read registering by 31/03/20?

If that's anything related to the 1.4 in the 2011 Punto I put up with then it's a terrible engine mated to even more awful car. It's end cannot come soon enough.

Granted the n/a 1.4 is a bit asthmatic but the car is a long, long way from awful. Have you driven one? I think with a different badge on the snout opinions would be quite different

I was referring to the Punto, which I have endured 7 years of ownership of so I'll be sticking to my opinion that it's a awful piece of utter ste in every conceivable way including the engine.

You’re assuming they’re near the side of the car

That is remarkable, although looking on Google it's not definitive whether it actually did exist.

Funny old thing, the saloon isn't on FIAT's UK website, but it's available brand new from dealers according to autotrader ads:

Interestingly, the brand new ones are direct from Fiat dealers, but literally EVERY single pre-registered Tipo saloon is a 69 plate, and they are all being sold from Mangoletsi, a dealer group based in Knutsford, Cheshire I think...

Very odd that one dealer seems to have every single Tipo saloon that appears on autotrader!

I wonder if Mangoletsi has scored some semi-official surplus stock from Cyprus or Malta, or somewhere RHD further afield.

The one that made me post the Tipo Saloon was outside the Fiat garage in York, but I can’t see that one on AutoTrader

Ireland possibly - although the clocks would be kmh (like Cyprus/Malta). The excessive Vehicle Registration Tax in Ireland means the pre-tax price is typically lower than non-VRT-suffering EU countries.
Having said that, the clocks will be whatever was ordered irrespective of the country.

Easy enough to change the speedo cards on Irish imports.

My money is on a spectacular misbuild - an order for a batch of stock cars that should have been ordered ( maybe even were ordered ) as hatchbacks that somehow got built as saloons.

Easiest way to deal with them is to pre reg them and then 12 months later when they have all been sold through you can forget it never happened. Until one gets rear-ended and someone wants to order a boot lid!

That car is owned by the Pastor family - one of Monaco's richest, and one of the biggest real estate players in the Principality. The driver is Gildo Pastor who owns Venturi Automobiles.

Here's one that I actually knew existed, but I didn't realise any were roadworthy. It takes impressive commitment to drive a car for which there's only a single other in the world, and probably zero spares for most parts.
