Hello never posted before not sure if it will even work but here goes,
bought this 2004 c2

then bought this 1996 Evo 4 with evo8 engine in it

then stripped the Evo and chopped it about abit

I had to cut 7 inch out of wheel base to match the C2 length

All the work has been done on a jig to hopefully keep it square also made the jig slotted so i could move it the 7inch i needed

Floor pan back together (dont panic)

Time to sort the c2

Few cutting discs later i just cut round what i wanted and binned the rest

Then boom dropped the top on bottom

See simple but was sick of welding
Then added a cage

Please bear in mind this is done maianly by my self with friends lending a hand with limited tools and money, i started the build middle of january 2012 thanks for looking Will

You're mental, Look forward to seeing the finished project.

Essentially it is an SWB Evo with a C2 Body?

I thought that initially, then I thought it's 4, which was the poor relation, then I thought SWB Evo, which I bet is a laugh a minute to drive.

Not sure I'd have picked a C2 I have to say. Pug 205 with a T16 kit for me.

The evo was tatty it was just ideal for this job it was bought to cut up even tho it had 12months mot and 6 months tax it had a quick ride up the road couple of laps of the fields then it cut up,The c2 was bought for 300 quid soo had to have it for that price you are working with rust free shells

Yeah its just all evo running gear with the c2 shell just thought it would be a bit off fun

I doubt it! I bet there's probably over 200 hours time put into getting it to this point. Access to a fork lift and some decent gear must have made a big difference.

Will be keeping an eye on this - lots of potential biggrin

You massive idiot, this looks amazing! biggrin Does the Evo have active yaw and stuff, which will have to re-learn the car's wheelbase?
