I still like reading the Z4M reviews, views and fan boy comments. But Yeah, I love posting pictures of my weekend toy, especially when I get reactions like yours makes it worth it. Especially as you are a previous an 3.0si owner. As C19 has put a stop to celebrating New Years Eve, I'll just troll you instead....

4 and a half years later, having Googled 'Pistonheads and Z4 Coupe' you post a photo of your car hoping to get appreciative replies saying how good it looks etc.

Embarrassing.
Was expecting it to be Mr Tidy.

Perhaps you should, if that's how you talk to people.

No idea what this exchange is meant to be about. Z4 and Z4M are quite different. The M Coupe is a lot of fun. The first modern car I've driven where you had to re-learn how to drive but very very rewarding once mastered.

It's about someone saying he would need to re-evaluate his life choices if a Z4 was a weekend car.

How did I miss this? rolleyes

Anyway Happy New Year to everyone. thumbup

As you all seem to know already I'm rather partial to Z4 Coupes and am on my 3rd now but this one is an M, whereas the previous 2 were 3.0Si models (because of budget issues).

Anyway I can't leave without posting a photo, so here is one from last month with the Aero sill covers that I bought in November fitted.

I love it, but appreciate others may not, and there are loads of other cars I love too but this suits me best for now.

So maybe you can go and pick on someone else this year. blah

Looking good Mr T.
Are those still available from BMW or did you manage to find second-hand ?

Congrats Mr Tidy,

A beautiful car, I'm a huge fan having owned and ran the lesser 3.0si for 7 years and 100k+ miles, always wanted the M but couldn't really justify it at the time as I was doing a lot of miles, but I loved my 3.0 for what it was.

Sadly I changed to a 640d a few years ago as (at the time) I was doing a lot of motorway miles. In hindsight, if I'd waited 12 months I could have parked my z4 up for weeks on end during CV19!

I still like the idea of going back to a Z4 coupe in the future as a weekend car, but I must admit that for casual driving I probably had more fun in my 3.0 roadster that I had before the coupe, I never really drove the coupe just for the hell of it, but the roadster I did.

Just saw this pop up and had an idle Google to refresh my memory

At the time as a kid, when the Z3M came out, I thought it was fantastic looking.

Now when I look at it, I don't think it's aged well at all. The Z4M on the other hand has.. yes, I know it's newer, but the lines just flow better. Now I've grown up and could actually purchase either, it would be the Z4M I would go for.

I must also admit that I wouldn't be interested in anything other than an M version, the rest seem a bit too hairdresser for me.

I'll stick my neck out.

I like the Z4 coupé.
I wouldn't mind one for a weekend car.

I think people who go out of their way to post nasty comments about people who post car photos are the ones who need to re-evaluate their life choices.

Mr Tidy, I like your Z4M. biggrin

Well I'm a bit old school so as I don't seem able to do multiple quotes it'll have to be one by one!

Maybe you should put your garage on your profile so we can rip the p*ss out of you - or can you just give it without being able to take it?
