Good effort but there is a way to go for the outright World Record, we set up 5063 Minis around Silverstone in 1989, they were 4-5 abreast and almost bumper to bumper around the entire circuit.

Well, plus the exclusive hire of Silverstone for three days, staffing, TV helicopter, emergency services, event insurance, circuit marshals, a lot of Ferrari-owned vehicles transported, 1400 free tickets for PHers, catering, logistical teams, stand building, car park attendants etc, etc.
I know, but somehow they still seem to come off as being cheap. They do a hell of a lot for Italian causes, seems they could have dug slightly deeper. Or maybe I'm just a grouch.

Superb effort from everyone involved, really enjoyed it. I won't tell you what the GF thought of the stuff she got to sit in in the showroom, i'll get barred for being rude! biggrin

Again, thanks to Garlick & Co for a great day out.

Was great fun, enjoyed it far more than I thought I would!

I must have been near you on the grid Garlick. I was in the same row as VBH, met her a few times now. She was as friendly, chatty and charming as ever!

Thought the dude from Radio Silverstone really helped make it fun as well.

Massa was so happy at being at front of grid for a change he took a picture on his phone...

Does anyone have any news on the condition of Giorgio Raffaeli please, who crashed heavily at the start of the Becketts complex on Sunday afternoon? Big impact, with him being taken away by ambulance. Can't find anything via the normal channels, such as Autosport. Fingers crossed for positive news. Thanks.

My Italian is a bit crap but I think he is in a medically induced coma with non life threatening injuries based on this link below. Having seen his car on the back of a truck I would say that is a lucky escape. It must have been a heavy impact.

I got to enjoy some of this lot blasting back towards London on the M40 on Saturday evening. Stopped counting at 20 of them. Never seen so many Ferraris on the road at any time. Windows down, stereo off, to repeated remarks of "child" from the other half. biggrin

Well done all thumbup

Thanks to the PH team for such a great event & to the Ferrari owners
Indeed, £2400 is a pretty decent effort. Well done
Really? Reading the article I did a quick bit of mental arithematic, made it less than half a gallon of V Power and thought 'Flippin' Tight Asses!' wink

We were all assuming we'd get a few hundred quid.

Try standing around with a bucket and see how much you pull in. £2400 is pretty fair.

Might be an idea to keep going for the future. Everyone gets in for free and has a good morning, I don't think there'd be too much objection to (optionally) monetizing that good will in the aim of raising money for charity

Wasn't the fundraising only for the PH'ers cars arriving to collect their free tickets? Or was there another bucket on the main entrance?
