RegTransfers valued it at £3.5K, which made me laugh. But yeah it's been on my last 4 cars and I like the idea of a plate-for-life, even if it is just an Irish age hider. Plus it confuses ANPR systems biggrin
Is that what they think it will sell at? Did they offer you £1.50 to buy it for stock? smile

Funnily enough they didn't make a stock offer... I do however get monthly texts offering me name-related plates for laughable sums.

If anyone is named John X. and was born in 1955, I'm your man..

True - I've seen a Reg Transfers dude bidding on the plates at the DVLA auctions (and probably Newreg too) he seems to buy 99% of them. The mark up on Reg Transfers site is generally three times the price he's just paid.

What annoys me is that they sell plates that the DVLA still have on their site for double the price - people really should do their home work!

Another annoyance is that they can guarantee a reg plate for someone, a plate that has not been sold yet, so I don't see how they can do it.

Lastly some of the ones they have are really poor, yet up for daft money.
+1 don't know who buys off them, but they must have more money than sense...

I'm only on the B'ham Rd myself, but Oldbury.

I saw the Ferrari Limo a couple of weeks back smile

I'm not great on the Fezzas, but I think it's a 456 that comes past on a daily basis.
I see the Black Murci quite regular, going through Whiteheath.
The murci I saw was white . Also seen two 458 ferraris

Thought I just saw "X1" on the front of the Jag on the X factor, or did I imagine it?

Doubt it, but it was on a 430 Spider in Liverpool a few years ago before it got taken back by the bank.

'U2' is on a BMW X3 often seen in the Preston area, I've seen it on various average value cars in the same area over the last 30 years so obviously long term owners.

Number plates in 2014 are rather like tulips in 1637.
