I disagree. The more extrovert cars probably turn more heads (most Lambos/some Ferraris/all Paganis/all Gumperts), but the simple shaped sports cars and GT cars (Carrera, DB9, Conti GT) don't really garner much attention, particularly in London.

Again no; Some of the aforementioned 95% would know it's a Porsche, but the majority of them just see 'sports car' without giving it much more thought. If it's loud in colour, with graphics, loud-ish exhaust (as many GT3/GT2/RS porsches are) they will get more attention just because of these factors (and not bcause of what they are). The general public don't have any real knowledge of cars the way most on here do, and wouldn't be able to tell the difference between a 996 GT3 RS and a Lambo Murchi SV, and would view both in exactly the same light.
It seems to me that they renamed the Virage the DB9, then added more adjustable suspension thus addressing the Virage's only real flaw.
IMO it would have been better to have merely dropped the DB9 name and stuck with Virage. David Brown has nothing to do with Aston Martin any more and the chassis dynasty those initials referred to died out with the Vantage LM600.

Yes. Of your particular driving, of one particular car. Have you driven a Carrera or a Conti GT under the same circumstances in the same areas for the same duration?No, so you have no frame of reference with which to make an accurate comparison.

The Aston is a fantastic car to look at, I still get excited when I see an old Gordini 5 Turbo etc etc

IMO it's time for them to be bold and explore a completely different design direction, or at the very least acknowledge that there were other Aston designs produced in the past than the DB4/5/6.

Ferraris are different. They constantly have to fight to be the technological pinnacle of sports cars, Aston just have to make a great looking GT.
