Of course he had what looked like the front wheels from a Morris Marina.

After a brief chat at the lights he gave it some, pure filth and made my relatively unsilenced V8 sound like a purring cat to his lion's roar.

I've always rather liked them too. Not a brilliant advert but I've pinged him an email anyway, he mentions a WRX as p/x, and a Legacy GTB isn't a million miles away...
Ah well, good luck with that. thumbup

If you 'only' want to spend £100, you should look out for one in Lidl or Aldi. A Karcher will cost you £200-300.

Every taxi here in Munchen is a spanking new, highly specced E Class Merc.

Yet the fares are very reasonable.

So my economics calculator is broken - are they state subsidised or summat??
Could just be that Munich is that great that it's just another bonus.

Exceedingly jealous that you're there.

One trundled past the pub during Thursday evening's Thread beers.

I not really a supercar fanboy, but it really was quite something.

They have the 'school boy' thing down so well. Looks like the batmobile!

Is that E500 very cheap or about on par? I'm having bad thoughts. Never really been a Merc man but that appeals hugely.

On cars of the age and ilk, it's just a personal utility v. opportunity cost decision. What could you buy for that money which would make you happier?

It's a 'wrong era' car, but the appeal is phenomenal.
