Haha, no offence to Loony but from what others have said he is possibly one of the least likely candidates to be Bain that I can think of
Apologies to Loony if he is a 6 foot plus slab of muscle who has to take masses of painkillers to remain calm but it struck me as particularly funny

That's who I am more like if we go the Batman route
Dick Grayson
I'm a big fan of the GTI, lovely quality item if you see what I mean. Not as exciting as a Clio 197/200 et al but all the more appealing for it. Our aftersales guy has a lightly tweaked de-badged one which is rather nice.
BMW, well can't really go wrong with that either I guess.
Maybe not much help!

Any thoughts on the above comparison, chaps?I've finally decided on which new company car and the new Mk VII GTI has won the day.
Just need to wait for VW to pull their finger out and build it now.
Oh, Tornado Red and Tartan seats FTW.
E46 4-dr 330i is a tempting device. Phugoid's above, and the previously mentioned Imola version, have me looking

Steering wheel leather looks well used...

DSG is uber good but I would certainly favour the manual.
Semi on-topic.....
Anybody have any experience of these -
Friend's Dad has one and loves it.Semi on-topic.....

Has a previous shape XK8 for fun and that Skoda is his daily.
I think Balmoral (Green) of PH fame ordered one and didn't get along with it.
I think it has a wet-clutch DSG instead of the faster dry-clutch in the GTI/R32. He seemed frustrated by the gearbox mostly.
Good points one and all.
Fabia cropped up in conversation yesterday as Mummy Loon is replacing the Puma but is unsure as what to go for.
Shortlist thus far includes;
Giulietta
A3
Fiesta Zetec S (had Fords for years and is the obvious Puma replacement)
Fabia VRS (friends of theirs had Octavia VRS for years and Mummy likes the drive)
Mito
500 Abarth (boot too small by the looks of it though)
