On this occasion, I really don't want too.
Likewise. Not a very nice looking car at all.

love it... IMO looks better than the saloon, I'd be even more tempted with the Magnum front end though wink

That Merc has quite a mileage - think of the fuel costs to cover 141000 miles!!

But no v8 = fail. Surely that's the whole appeal of this big engined beasty. I'll keep my e39 m5 for now but it's good to know there are other options out there if I NEED an estate
Whoops. Sorry, missed that... SRT in the US all have V8s. Not here though.

I do like them, not entirely sure why. I would have the saloon, in preference, and I wish the same-era Dodge Charger SRT-8 was sold here (I believe it is pretty much the same car underneath?).

The girlfriend will not be convinced, though, and I doubt either variant would fit on my drive, so its probably not going to happen.
Pretty much the same car? I think it is the same car. They just put some different plastic on the front and some different lights on the back. that's it. American badge engineering Yo!

Similar but when track-tested, back to back, the Charger is a much better handling and stiffer car than the sofetr limo-oriented 300C. Not that you can't buy better suspension for the 300C quite cheaply.

This is the latest version but the same was true of the last version:

The "rebranded" 300C is the Magnum, not the Charger...

Only the estate is the Magnum, the saloon is the Charger.
I don't believe they have a 300C estate in the US but grafted the nose on here as they don't sell Dodge.

Likewise, I remember being very disappointed by the space in the estate's boot, it was tiny for such a large car.

Only mainstream (ie not a sportscar like a Vette or a Viper) American car I think I'd ever consider (but probably discount ultimately).

This is a spectacularly crass comment. Why would somebody hate something, based purely on its geographical origin?

The only logical explanation I can think of, is they are a moron.

Poor ride quality, poor interior quality, poor everything really.
Driven one? All the suspension underpinnings were (IIRC) some Mercedes stuff from the early 2000s. Ride quality (for a yank) is rather good.

I followed one of these (albeit in saloon form) onto the A1 the other day. Two big V8 cruisers alongside each other. A rare sight at any time in the UK!

I'm sure someone on the previous page inferred that a Crossfire is a great car.
I presume they are a Chinese peasant who's previous transport was an oxygen and cart?
This car is great. Just as Tony Soprano is a benign waste management operator.
Utter bks for the uk market, wheel on the wrong side, drinks like a lapsed member of AA, won't fit in a lane of a carriageway or the average garage. QED.

As I own a Crossfire I can only assume that the 300c is also a great car.

Never underestimate just how capable these cars are.
Isn't the crossfire just a Merc SLK chassis with a Chrysler body?
