I saw this at the weekend and it was very impressive. Two mates both ended up running down the strip against him - 1 in a 2.0 Z4 and 1 in a Yaris SR, needless to say they both got slaughtered. If memory serves correctly, at 1000ft he was doing 120-odd mph.

Just noticed that I'm famous - The Z4 Coupe next to the Skoda Fabia VRS in the background is mine! Royalties?!

Typical pistonheads. Someone achieves something great and half the posts that follow are negative. Who gives a fk if someones gallardo is faster? It wouldn't take the record for fastest std capacity GTR would it numbnut? And what's with the "thinly desguised racecar" jibes? Have you got a clue what it takes to run an 8? That car is about as std looking as an 8 sec car can be. I can't help thinking that there are still a lot of owners/fanboys of certain italian/german cars that absolutely hate the Jap performance scene for no more reason than the cars have such a following and are that much better than their own. I'm not even a big fan of jap cars myself but what's not to love about a stock appearing car running an 8?

What kind of gearbox does the car have? How much power/torque can the factory gearbox handle?

I was under the impression there is only 1 ECU on the market that can make the factory gearbox work with tuned up GTR's and that ECU tends to only be mapped by one person.

Box is good for a lot more horses than standard with no mods.

When I say tuned up I mean big turbo kits etc, large BHP numbers, where you'd want to alter shift points etc.
