Massive fan of the Panamera - not sure about the rear end of this model though, reminds me of a Mitsubishi Gallant or similar...I'll stick with the original

Er, not really.

Now if you'd said Alfa Romeo Brera as GranCab said (at least in terms of proportion at the rear) then maybe you'd be on to something...

If anything, the rear light arrangement reminded me of a Saab.

BUT, these comparisons are ultimately pointless. What I'd like to see is RUF getting hold of one of these and turning it into something truly delicious!

The rear end on the current Panamera IMO is very very very ugly, but th rear end of this does look good, but very similar to the Alfa Brera.

I'd have one, massive improvement over the current car.

I'd stick with the V8 and no heavy batteries though.

Porsche Estate,

It's all over for the 'Sports' car brand, this is the same mistake Jaguar made.
I know because Jag are doing so terribly right now.
What he said. Don't be so silly.

Exactly what I thought. Alfa is what it immediately reminded me of, which is no bad thing, its a very handsome car.

I think Porsche have done a very good job on the styling here. And knowing Porsche it'll be a corker in every other regard.

The slightly less ugly duckling, but still repugnant. Are there really fools who will pay more than £100k for this? Porsche are marketing geniuses!!

Yes - that same 'mistake' that took Jaguar from a basket case to a profitable, thriving car maker. rolleyes

I thought the same.
Considerably better than the current PanAm though!

It looks vastly easier on the eye than the original effort. Mind you it is a shame it was never based on the 928 looks.

Point of order!

Is not a "shooting brake" a TWO door estate, in it's truest definition?

Too many doors and far too big (assuming it's at least the same size as the current "porker") I have to say though that it IS an attractive and striking design, well done Porsche.
