5 mins longer in the design studios and they could have got this right from the beginning..that's better...

Point of order!

Is not a "shooting brake" a TWO door estate, in it's truest definition?

Too many doors and far too big (assuming it's at least the same size as the current "porker") I have to say though that it IS an attractive and striking design, well done Porsche.
yes The Fezza FF is a shooting brake, this is not. I could only call it a (not very practical) estate.

Of course, the marketing people would never call it that!

The original Panamera has grown on me slightly, but the rear just is so wrong.

Porsche need to put this into production post-haste!!

Those saying it looks like a Galant may be getting confused with the current Lancer "sportback"?

I get the distinct impression BMW, Mercedes and Audi are taking a keen interest in this
yes We've already got the CLS AMG shooting brake, BMW would probably come up with an M6 Gran Turismo Touring, Audi with an A7 Avant (S7, RS7?). Jag XJ Estate? Aston Rapide shooting brake? It's all niches within niches, the 6 GT SB would be an estate based on the 6 GT saloon, which is based on the 6 coupe, which is based on the 5 saloon and estate hehe

Best looking Panamera yet, just loose the bullst hybrid system and fit a real engine
Like looking in the pan (no pun intended) and saying, 'that's the best sh*t I've ever done'. Personally I would rather they took the engine out altogether, mounted the car on a plinth as a memorial to awful design, never to be repeated.

Is this not already covered by the 5 series GT?

Massive fan of the Panamera - not sure about the rear end of this model though, reminds me of a Mitsubishi Gallant or similar...I'll stick with the original
How on earth do you get off on ugly?

The only thing going for this one is the deduction of a few ugly points.

Almost acceptable, but not quite. The Ugly Stick is alive and well and living in a cupboard in Stuttgart.

Oh dear...

Porsche 4x4,
Porsche Diesel,
Porsche Estate,

It's all over for the 'Sports' car brand, this is the same mistake Jaguar made.
What you need to understand is the market for "sports cars" is tiny and it cannot support the costs of developing a car such as the 991 based upon its own sales, therefore other larger and more profitable market segments must be addressed.

Porsche have just launched the new 911 and Boxster and soon the new Cayman 3 of the best sports cars money can buy....yep as you say it's all over for them.

The original was not only ugly, but vulgar as well. This one is fine.
