If the poor people can't afford cars then they shouldn't be on the road full stop. That includes those damned bi-cycle contraptions some of them use. Ghastly.

A noble sentiment. Unfortunately the rail network is already jammed with no spare capacity.

I don't think aeroplanes or trains should be on the roads. Well, maybe on Sundays after 6pm till nearly 9.

Rabbits should be banned.

A compromise - horses can use the road to get to fields/glue factories or wherever they need to go, but only 6am-7am on a Sunday and the owner must submit their plans to the local newspaper to be displayed prominently the previous week. Users breaching these restrictions have their horse put down.

All road users must carry a spare wheel/tyre at all times, this includes horse riders, cyclists, dog walkers and daleks.

Something like 60% of car trips only involve 1 person, ie the driver.

Therefore I suggest that we ban cars from carrying one person and make them travel by motorbike instead. It would reduce/relieve traffic congestion overnight.

I agree.

I have nothing against the nice horsies or their "owners". But there are miles and miles of open fields, hundreds and hundreds of square miles. Yet people take horses and trot about out onto the roads where there are moving things like cars and lorries and buses and it's always someone else's fault when the horsie gets scared.

May I also suggest that there should be no parking, these poor people who cant afford off road parking should not be able to possess a car. Would not trouble us as we all have our shopping delivered and there would be plenty free spaces in car parks at other locations due to the lack of people who would be allowed a car.
its law in some countries that you have to prove you have a parking space before you can have a car... Should be the same here !!!

Not really true. In Japan you may need to have a Police inspected (and yes, they really measure it) parking space, but if you dont you may still buy a city car.

Banning everything is just stupid.

However I do think things could be improved with restrictions, lorries only on the road at certain times etc...
