My'03 A4 is going to hit 232k on the way home. Just a few more thousand and we'll be at the moon! (at its average distance from the earth)

Im on 197500 now, determined to see 200K which should happen just before December. Clutch is starting to slip though and had this on my last MOT which needs to be looked at soonish! Will keep going until the clutch goes and after that will probably look for something else with about 100K on it thats more exiting than my 2001 A4 (shouldnt be that difficult!)

I'm a few thousand away from 200,000.
I don't drive much so it'll probably take me a year or so to hit it.

Bought the Volvo S80 as an ex demonstrator with 7900 miles on the clock in 2005, and just under three years old.

Now 14 years old and tad over 113,000 miles on the clock.

We had this one at work a few months ago. It's a 2008 Mondeo estate that was used as an airport taxi on 556k! Drove surprisingly well but the bodywork was horrendous!

In comparison, my 1995 306 D Turbo is only just run in at 143k! It was on 101k when I bought it two years ago. Just passed its MOT so should have it for at least another year!
That's fking impressive mileage.
190 miles every single day cool

I thought I recognised that dash, good effort.
I thought I was doing well with my 197,000 hehe good to know they'll hit that mileage!

Anything you do on a regular basis to keep her ticking other than the usual servicing?

I must admit that having seen it coming, I decided to zero the trip to ensure it ticked over at exactly the right time.

Sad git!

Can I join the club?
This is my Sunbeam Lotus reaching the magic number last year. Had to pull over on to the M40 hard shoulder to record the moment.

Some Sunbeams had 6 digits to record milage but mine only has 5 so it's back to zero.

You certainly can! I suspect that getting a Sunbeam Lotus to 100k is a hell of a lot more complex than doing the same in a scabby Mondeo. The latter only involves a willingness to buy a cheap car and be bored in it for a year or two, while I suspect that you will have seen a good deal of rebuilding action.

Do you now own the lowest milage Sunbeam in the country? Give it a quick clean/splatter in chicken droppings and you've got a wonderful barn find for eBay biggrin
