I did manage, however, to read it ...very slowly.

Anyhow, what a shame but probably expected, just a miserly 22 posts (with this one) in response to to this thread about the loss of such a great American.

I suspect it's sadly because not many people (in the UK at least) know who he was. Mention 'racing safety campaigner' to most UK enthusiasts and they'll come right back with 'Jackie Stewart' and 'Sid Watkins'. Thing is, Fitch did so, so much more than that.
