£272K as tested.
Mental.
If you wanted a big, fast, 4x4 I'd prefer a Panamera Turbo and change for a used 458 for the weekends.
Yes I know the Panamera isnt exactly a supermodel but neither is the FF.
Teh depreciation on these is going to be stratospheric.
Ugly or not the FF has presence...it's fairly big but disguises it well..the Panamera is just a big bulbous oversized lump of misplaced curvesMental.

The interior of the Panamera is a lovelly place to sit and is a lot classier than the gaudy FF IMO . I've not been in an FF but I wouyld be very surprised if the build quality is as good as it is on the Porsche.
Essentially they both do the same job but I'd rather lose £60K than £160K

Ah, but the Ferrari will say "I'm so rich I don't really care if I lose money on this".The interior of the Panamera is a lovelly place to sit and is a lot classier than the gaudy FF IMO . I've not been in an FF but I wouyld be very surprised if the build quality is as good as it is on the Porsche.

Really like the FF, that price though.... wow. It'll be interesting to see how they depreciate (or not).
Sounds like a lovely place to waft away a nice chunk of milage though. Being one of the very few who like the Panamera and a bit of a Porsche fanboy I think I'd be going for a Panamera Turbo S and spending the hundred and fifty grand I'd saved on something else (like a 599), but it certainly seems like the FF is a very capable car, not a bad looker either despite looking like the product of a Z3 bread van and a 458 orgy.
I still think the 550 remains one of their hardest acts to follow in recent years though, as much as I loved the 456 [and the 599], the 550/575 is still a stunning looking thing.

I was disappointed with the quality of the F12 that appeared at the Ferrari Sunday Service, although in fairness that interior was getting a very hard life. I've no idea how far removed it is from the FF, although they don't look too dissimilar inside. And if the FF is ugly from behind, the F12 is a whole new level of eye-abusing horror. I too would put my [non-existent] money on a Panamera, but I wonder if you would be better off with a Range Rover and a 458 (if you like them that is).Living in the snowy north my girlfriend has asked for me to ensure I buy one of these with my lottery win, unfortunately I am £271,900 shy after the massive instant win victory.
IMO, I think they look fantastic and very cool. The idea of an all-weather, all kit V12 4WD monster is a great one and compared to the Porsche Panacota blob a much more attractive one (Although the new rear hatchback Porsche version may improve it considerably.)
10/10 for me in gunmetal grey with a glass roof....

Lottery win, I'd have one like a shot! Only thing is, does the front not look a bit like a Renault Megane, with the shape of the headlamps and bonnet line?
I was thinking previous generation Citroen C4 myself. Not a bad steer (goes without saying) and will be a great used buy in a couple of years once they get down to the £150k mark.
For those who are surprised by the price, this is a "luxury" 4WD SUV-alike with a 600bhp V12 in it built by FERRARI and designed to be sold to rich Arabs, Russians and the Chinese who want something a bit more practical to go along with the rest of their collection. It's the ultimate one-upmanship car as most people can just about understand paying several £100k for some weekend exotica but it takes someone with serious money to spend that on a daily hack. It positively shouts I am richer than you.
Based on that premise, it was never going to be cheap was it? Comparisons with an M5 or Panamera are silly as neither are expensive\exclusive enough for those who care about such things. Very astute move by Ferrari.

Looks are indeed subjective but i've seen 4 or 5 in the flesh and i love it. So much so that i had a 12 mile test drive in one a couple of weeks ago. It had just rained and the roads were very greasy. I was simply astonished by the grip and how the 4.9m length is forgotten after a few bends, the car simply shrinks around you and the traction gives great confidence. The interior materials and build quality look impressive too and the engine/sound is fantastic. Apart from the genuine four adult capability you can't compare it to a Panamera. Based on the engine alone the FF is worth the huge premium.
2 years old at £150k i think there will be a fair few buyers (mostly with kids) for this car although i'd be scared to pile on too many miles for fear of further huge depreciation.

I cycled past this exact car (same reg, etc) a few weekends ago...parked on a drive, in an unassuming 'just your average' housing estate in St Albans.
Assumed it was one of the technicians from the local Maranello Concessionaires taking it home to show the family!!!
Nice car, but will have it's *rse whipped by depreciation in a fairly short space of time!
